C&A Double Points

Booked a Bermuda/cococay 8 day Mariner for next year just to use my casino certificate and take a advantage of the double points today.  The rep I spoke to has a few years under her belt with RCCL and was convinced the double point promotion was going to end.

She shared that the last email to the staff stated that Septembers bookings where 15% higher than The month of September pre-covid.  She felt the company was very pleased with the direction that things were heading.  Not sure if any of this means anything but I figured I would share the conversation.

It would be great so I have a better idea what I want to book for next year but I don’t think so.

I don't believe that it will be extended.  Just booked an eight day today on Allure in a JS for Oct of next year to snatch the 32 points.  It your still trying to decide, I suggest you decide quickly.  I hope they extend it for you.

I have 2 cruises booked in JS I thought it would only be 24 points, hope I’m wrong.

If the new bookings drop a lot in the weeks after Oct 1, they may change their mind.

Works for me.  I need four more points after Allure to level up and I don't seen where I can fit the time in.  To quote someone else's signature I read earlier.  My job is really interfering with my cruising habit.

My trip is an 8 day.  JS is 16 X double cruise points promotion is 32.  How long is your cruise?

Both are 8 nights in JS

It they were booked under the current promotion, that's 64.  You're cheating yourself.  It obvious that you don't want those points.  Call C&A and tell them to send them to me.  😁

Cruises in JS are not until March 2022. Will definitely make sure I get the 64 points. Thank you.

My main interest is using the double points to get to the 340 (or is it 350?) in order to score the lower supplement rate for sailing solo. And once I have that (should be on my February sailing), Pinnacle is too far away to be much of an incentive, so I'm trying to ignore the pressure to book something else.

Is 340 for the solo supplement.  You would input code dp340 when pricing cruises.

Exactly my interest.

That is also my goal.  With my current bookings, I will be at 337 by next September.  Since any future cruise will get me past 340, it's not worth it to try to find something to book by tomorrow for double points.

I've only ever taken 1 solo cruise (not really solo since I was with other family members), but it would be nice to have the option in the future.

Solo simply means that you are the only one booked in the cabin.  It has nothing to do with other people.

I know that.  I was just saying that I wasn't on the cruise by myself (aka solo).

And yes, I now have 4 cruises booked "solo" but only because there was no single supplement.  Otherwise, we would have booked one cabin for two vs. two cabins solo.
