LIVE/Grand/Oct. 23 - Nov.1, 2021

Moving in the right direction.  697 passengers going to Cabo.  Last voyage was less than 650.

DH boarded  at 11 AM. We dropped his luggage, went to lunch then enjoyed our hot tub until sail away. Such a perfect sunny day!!

I had the ravioli which was quite good!;

Now relaxing in the lounge until dinner.

I am happy to be on board the Grand. The crew is simply stellar. Amal in vines is a hoot and extremely knowledgeable. He had already turned me on to 2 incredible new wines I hadn’t tried before.  
Our waiter, Valentin, in club class has been with princess for 20 years. His service is impeccable. I fell in love immediately. So far the Yalchin, our head waiter (27 years with Princess) has managed to seat us with Valentin. Tonight Yalchin has requested the Alfredo with the Parmesan baskets for us. Yummy! 
 

The food has been outstanding so far. Valentin’s suggestions have really been great. 
 

I met Ashley, the bar manager, at the international cafe and he had us laughing so hard we cried. 
 

Darren Dowler performed last night and was outstanding. He is definitely an act you want to see if you are lucky  to have him on board. 
 

He came to yes/no game show and chatted with us for a while. A really nice man. 
 

Of course the yes/no game show was hilarious. I played for the first time. I only lasted 15 seconds. Gary our CD gave me a bottle of champagne because I was the best at losing. Lol.

Dinner was in Club class Da Vinci dining room. Dessert was the bomb!!

The performer as told above was superb! I would never do that Yes or No game. I’d lose.🤣🤣

For those of you who are missing your flowers. They can be ordered once you board. We ordered the Princess Arrangement first day and they came to the room by dinner time. 
idk what they cost as my friend/cabin mate paid for them.

When did Princess start that?

Almost never. Apparently, there's no many crew on board they don't know what to do with all their "spare" time

They are leaving so the Steward has time to do things like that.🙂

We have an amazing steward plus we are in the Grand Suite. We also tipped well and requested them then thanked him profusely. One or all of the above reasons perhaps?

Our view today. Pool empty but not boring. A birdy told me that one of the cruises in November currently has only 150 passengers booked. Crazy. Thanksgiving and after will be better. God bless this staff and Princess. Book it people!!

It was your birthday, that is why. They keep track of things like that.

The Cruise Personalizer used to have a place where you could specify if your journey was for a celebration and if so what type of celebration. (If you specified an event various gifts would turn up in your stateroom).

That page is gone now and replaced with a page where you can buy things.

Yeah, but which one? Just checked and there are 25 cruises in November.

He didn’t say an exact date but on the Grand in early November before Thanksgiving.

I think it might be more than one.

Only one WS is booked. Several decks have all cabins available in all the categories that I checked.

I looked at 11/28 and it's EMPTY. WS is $200 less than CC mini.

Wish I could grab a cabin, but DH just won't cruise right now.

We are going on a Princess cruise soon and just wondering do you have to wear a mask in the bars and lounges and theater if you stay with your group?  Also are they allowing dancing?
