Couldn’t log on to CC all day until tonight even though we had good internet all day. Last night was a special set dinner followed by a really special evening of performances with Amanda, Eric and Tony. Probably never to be done again but it was a very special evening.

This afternoon we had a crew talent show in Cabaret and the six performers were really gifted with talent. It was well attended by guest and crew in support.

Our lengthy haul of sea days ends tomorrow with a visit to Las Palmas in the Canary Islands. It will be nice to see land and enjoy a private wine excursion.

The World Voyage is winding down and the realization that this great adventure on the Onward will be ending soon in Barcelona or Southampton is sadly becoming a reality. Yes, we could easily do another 156 days.

It’s been wonderful.

Make your own pizza option luncheon is a hit and is under review as a possible frequent event.
They made fresh dough and crust last night.

My pizza was very good and other’s are giving thumbs up reviews.

i absolutely despise the pizza on Azamara.   They do so many things well but that pizza is just plain YUCK.  They need a true pizza oven, like MSC, Celebrity, and Princess have.

I agree pizza is not their specialty and needs improvement. However, this one day they really had a better product.

aliaschief, we met you and DWaliaschief on the Panama Canal cruise in Jan. 2023.  If I recall correctly, you were giving the Onward a-look-and-try-out to gauge whether you wanted to do the World Cruise.  I have been following along, and you clearly enjoyed yourselves.  We (Peggy and Paul (p2)) are happy for you both.  May you have many more days of the good life at sea.

Great hearing from you. It was great seeing land again today here Las Palmas.

Will enjoy our short stay as we have three more sea days before our next port in Tunisia.

Onward and crew have exceeded all of our expectations.

We’ll be booking the 2027 Azamara World Voyage if our good health continues.

Thanks to all for kind comments. Still have some great ports to see before Barcelona.

A beautiful day in Gran Canaria. Went to this small but beautiful winery after visiting the 2,000 year old caldera from the great volcano. Great wine.

Now it’s time for tonight’s entertainment and the ship is letting us know we are on a churning Atlantic. Las Palmas was a beautiful clean city and it was nice to set foot on Terra firma. Three sea days before Tunisia.

Thanks for taking us along Bruce! Looks like you have had a lot of fun on this massive cruise.  You are so lucky to have Amanda come join you, Tony as well!

It was good seeing you both on the Australian segment. Next Azamazing cruise next January on Journey. South America/Antartica/Amazon/Carnival. Miami back to backs. Going to be a reunion as quite a few of us World Voyagers will be on it.

Having lunch outdoors on Sunset Verandha sailing the Gibraltar Strait with Africa on starboard and Spain and Gibraltar on port is priceless.Beautiful day and I hope that continues as to ight’s Asian themed dinner will be on Sunset Verandha.

Onward is now cruising along on a smooth Mediterranean Sea.

Build your own pizza was again a very popular lunch option.

I’m savoring this beautiful day on Onward.

Because of the diversion you were given lemons but Azamara gave you great lemonade.

Tis true. So glad we elected to stay on for the detour. As we start our second sea day the Med is smooth and it’s a little hazy out there. Tonight another dinner outside at pool deck. The Onward has been getting a facelift. Newly varnished rails, lot’s of general painting. Dry dock will take care of hull which needs a touch up.

Here on deck 8 our cabin has not had one issue. All has worked as advertised. Of course there are those verandha chairs!

Even my folding beach chairs would be more comfortable – but they don't fold small enough to fit in my luggage!  But it is so good to hear that everything on Onward is working smoothly for you, after so many reviews about it being the problem child.  😁

The crew had a BBQ lunch just for them on deck 11 today.
Here are some pics from the crews art recycling contest. Pretty imaginative.

Tonight’s menu and sunset was nice even through salt stained windows.

Just about time for Pilot to board as we arrive in La Goulette , Tunisia. Enjoying a beautiful day and a pool side BBQ. We have a tour to Carthage at 2:30.

Tonight we have dinner with our host Lee W. and the crew will enjoy a well deserved dinner in Prime C.

Today ninety cruise members will join the ship. In Venice we will have 670 guest onboard which will be our largest guest population on the ship of any segment.

Further follow up today with the top barrister and he said no to Chai Tea. So just wanted to correct my previous post.

Currently onboard Quest. Not a single complaint!  Everything reminds me of the old Azamara with some new things added. Tonight is our second dinner under the stars, with the pool deck transformed just like white night. The singers are performing for us this evening.
White night was fabulous!  Excellent food and some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. Even sashimi!
