Jar Gripper Pad Needed

On my Constellation cruise water was in aluminum cans with a twist cap. I had the beverage package and this is what they distributed. These cans were also distributed to everyone when embarking and disembarking. They were nearly impossible to open. When I ordered the water I asked the staff to open and they struggled. I normally bring a jar gripper pad but not this cruise where I desperately needed one. If you have an upcoming cruise remember to bring one. You will be grateful.

We just asked for Evian, came in a glass bottle and easy to open.  We had the premium package, but I don't know what the price point was, so I can't speak to if it would have been included in the Classic package.

No issue for us,  the content is so bad we do not drink it. I bring a few btls of " normal" bottled water on with us and buy water in port  when we can.

But I know what folks mean about impossible to open water btls...some brands worse than others..Nestles is impossible.

Will this be before or after the highlighter?

Yup, I have one of those.  😂

And I just remembered: I already HAVE a jar gripper that I keep with my camera gear; sometimes a lens filter will get stuck and won't screw off (like a jar top). It's such a rare occasion I forgot I had it in my gear bag.  So I'm all set.  WHEW!!  🤣

We had same problem with the aluminum bottles. It wasn't because of gripping. We found it was because of it being cold. We had no problem with all the room temperature aluminum water bottles. Server that brought the bottle couldn't open the cold one either and bent the hell out of the bottle before offering to get another.

When I saw the title to this thread, I knew exactly what it would be about.  Those water bottles are crazy hard to open!

Same here.

Even being near sunscreen before trying to open one makes it a lost cause.  DW nearly died of thirst one day when she was alone by the pool and the top wasn't cracked for her.

I may bring some channel locks next time

That's the other fun part. You grip it so tight that it goes all over once you get it open.
