What is one thing you wish Carnival did differently?

I though someone posted on here that this could be done now.

If so I haven't figured out how.  I have $650 OBC for my next Carnival cruise and I haven't found anywhere that I can apply that in the cruise planner to any purchases.  I might have to go back and take a closer look. Would be nice if I could use it ahead of time to take advantage of some of the discounts available when booking ahead.

Just try to think of the washcloths as a free exfoliation! Imagine what the Spa would charge you for this service. I never try to air dry the towels, they go onto the floor for the cabin steward to take and replace with clean, dry towels - regardless of Carnival's little sign to reuse the towels for the good of the environment. That's ironic coming from a cruise line that spews tons of garbage into the oceans every day!

I don't know if my room stewards have ever honored that sign. It seems like even if I hang up a damp towel I could still use again, they were just replaced with fresh dry towels anyways.

For the OP - I wish Carnival did this:

-Added new dining options. The food is "just ok" to us at this point. We're feeling a little tired and repetitive on the options.

-Added more craps tables or keep it open more often. I think there was 1 on the Horizon in August, and it was very popular when open. I needed a break, and when I came back an hour or so later, it was closed. I know they make more money on slots, but that's not my preferred game and neither are cards or roulette.

I wish that there was one loyalty program across all of the Carnival brands.  If I take a Princess cruise, especially to a place that Carnival doesn't go, I want to earn points I can use on Carnival, and vice versa.

All the big hotel programs do that (i.e., Marriott Bonvoy and Hilton Honors). I don't see why Carnival Corp can't do that as well.

Maybe not just one loyalty program but something like rcl and celebrity where rcl level transfers to celebrity but you dont move ahead on celebrity until you earn the missing pts.  .. or visa versa. Just being able to transfer level on carnival to princess or back would be nice. Or HAL etc.

For Cheers to not be mandatory for everyone 21+ in the same cabin

Maybe it's not a big help, but something like rcl where one can purchase cheers and the other the refreshment package ...but you have to call . .. not everyone drinks. But everyone has to purchase some package, to keep sharing down.

Yes - My husband doesn't drink at all and I buy him Bottomless Bubbles - but I can't buy Cheers just for me.  So aggravating.

I would love for the casinos to bring back at least some of the old Vegas/reel slots.  Triple DIamonds/Triple Sevens.

Most of my cruises are casino offers and I hate those video slots.  They're everywhere and it's hard to find the old machines.

I miss my hand pay jackpots on the old one line machines and always did well in Carnival's casinos.

The video slots are are not fun when you have to play 20 lines max bet to win anything decent.

I'm with you. On a lot of those machines I have no idea what I'm trying to hit. My wife tells me it doesn't matter; just put in your money, push the button and and see what happens. If you do it a few times with no winners go to another machine... Well, hell, half the fun is telling the machine what to do. If I don't know what I want it to do half the fun is gone😁

1A was a solo stateroom with 0 solo supplement back when I didnt cruise solo so didnt help me. I can remember the out cry when they went to 50% solo supplement on these cabins ... and then went to double occupancy to push family cruising they wanted to attract.

Now the new mardi gras even did away with 1A category designed for solos. Got one of the worst 1As I've ever seen on breeze last leg. Avoid for me. Bed in the corner so every time I turned over I hit the wall. It was a upper and lower. Paying double occupancy for these cabins is crazy.

Designed for solos originally when these ships were built. Very few have beds that push together.

I'd like to see them cater a bit more to solos myself. Give a perk at some loyalty level like rcl does.

This was an actual room you were in?  They should be ashamed of themselves.  This is awful.

Worst ever. Luckily only 2nd leg of breeze. TV was in a alcove so far away and smaller than normal so I couldnt hardly see it.

Had a very nice ov 1st leg. .. I post both in cabins above. I would never book this cabin again. Oct 30 Halloween cruise. Oh I forgot it had a huge double sized step up into the bathroom someone could get hurt on at 3 an.

This is the bath room step up. Idk they had big step ups but someone with a balcony also had one she was just as upset about.

I wish Carnival would bring back the reggae groups on the Lido deck prior to leaving port. They use to have them all the time, but very rarely now. They would set the proper mood for a Caribbean cruise.

Also, we've got 24 cruises since October 2004 with three more on the books, besides having two canceled during covid, all on Carnival. Personally, I'm not real crazy about the FTTF program allowing guests to pay a fee to get a lot of the benefits we cruised for.

The first time I played one of those video slots, I had no clue what a win was.  Tropical fish, Chinese Babies, Dragons and Dinosaurs etc. Bells went off and machine was ringing and I thought I hit a jackpot. I think it was $20.  Got a bunch of free spins and had no idea why...  Just bring back my old machines and I'll be very happy...  I know what I'm dealing with.   .LOL

We just got back from Vegas and they were few and far between there also now. I enjoy those too. The new ones make to much nose for very little winnings. Lol

I’d like to see Carnival give double points to solos who are paying double for the cabin, like RCI does.  I also agree with those who would like to see solo cabins.

If I could give this more "likes" I would.  Since I have to pay double occupancy as a solo traveler, it would be nice to get extra points or something.

I know John took a survey on this many months ago, but I would like to see something less than Cheers, but better than bottomless bubbles to cover all non-alcoholic drinks.

I agree.  I’m a non-drinker, but I’d appreciate a beverage package that includes specialty coffees and mocktails.

I stayed in a 1A a long time ago on Carnival Splendor, it had a tiny porthole window. There was a twin bed, but also a couch that converted into a bed too. I had it once as a solo and another time traveling with my sibling.
