Thanks for the great LIVE thread.    I am on the Dec 11 sailing.

An you please tell me if they have Mah Jong games available in the library and if books are there?   COVID is affecting some of those past conveniences.

thanks!    Keep up the good info and have fun!

There is no library on the Sky Princess. I will check with Guest Services to see if the have any MahJong games available there.

Sometimes they have one of the dining rooms assigned as the "Game Room" and the staff bring out all kinds of games.

Today was day 1 of week 2 on the Sky Princess. There are 700 fewer passengers on the ship this week compared to last week and it feels less crowded. We have 1701 onboard so we are sailing at 46% capacity. A few additional photos from today including a stunning sunset. Entertainer tonight was Darren Dowler, a rock singer and impersonator, who put on an entertaining show. Hoping he does another show this week.

Ciao for now!

Got at the terminal a little early at 9:45. They were lining up the elites separately. They opened up the doors at 10:00. To the elite area from there. On the boat just a little before 11:00. Went to the sanctuary and they let us reserve for the cruise after this starting 12/4. We got one of the last shady spots.

Got my ducks in a row for the next two weeks 😬

So cute!  Didn't know anyone did this on Princess?  Have seen it on RCI and Carnival though.
How does it work?  You just leave them around the ship?  Any kind of note or tag with it?

It’s kind of a rarity on Princess. Most are rubber ducks with a tag identifier. Since I printed these, I put our name and magnets on the bottom so they’ll stick to the any steel surface. It’s just my take on making a few cute keepsakes and expressing how happy we are to be back out on the water. 86BCAECB-BC7C-4BFC-8718-AC3F1E3CDA3E.thumb.jpeg.79eb2c2d97bab8717fe5d8bccb7de2ef.jpeg

Those are great!  Wish we were sailing with you!  Our sailing is 12/28.

The story of my life....seems like my favorite machines are always in the smoking section.  Does wearing the mask help with the smoke?
After you win on the slots (you will) can't you just cash out and collect your money at the end of the day?

We cash it to our medallion account and use it the next day.  The cash out on the last day if there's anything left.  The smoke tends to adhere to the mask so you take it with you.

Minisuites receive a welcome glass of champagne for sailaway.   Its a minisuite perk.

Sometimes if the Stewards have extra, or folks decline, they'll give the bottle to whomever takes it.

I'd forgotten about that.  For us the extra space is the perk.  😀

I kinda like to cash out each time I win so I don't go and spend it all the next day...hold some back for later if needed.

I checked at Guest Services and they confirmed they do have MahJong games available for passengers.

Your ducks are very unique! Last week there were at least 3 different people hiding them on the ship but they were all the rubber ducky kind with tags around their necks. I did find a pirate one by one of the flower arrangements in the guest services area. This was the first time I’d ever seen one.

The what they call  "champagne" they give mini suites is really AWFUL!  😝

Do yourself a favor and tell your steward "No Thanks".

you go ahead and do that my anti climatic friend. Soon your gesture will possibly lead to that feature going bye  bye.  Accept it, be grateful, then use it to freshen the toilet bowl.

Today was a sea day so we did what we like to do on sea days which is chill. Great lunch in the MDR and dinner at Crown Grill. Spent the afternoon in the Wakeview Pool and enjoyed talking with some passengers from Oklahoma while enjoying our drinks in the pool. Saw Rock Opera for the 3rd time and loved it again. Tomorrow is Costa Maya and we have no plans except to walk around the port village and get fish pedicures. Never done this before so looking forward to trying it.

One thing I learned today is the ship staff have been trained to keep an eye on passengers and report on anyone who may be feeling ill. My BFF was in the store where you can purchase liquor and they have a small section of some medicinal items. She overhead a phone call the staff placed after a passenger left with a purchase. The crew member called and reported that passenger in cabin XXXX had just purchased some Tums and suggested the person on the phone should follow up with the passenger. It seems obvious to me that they are taking the health of everyone onboard very seriously. If someone isn’t feeling well that they can expect to be contacted by someone on the crew, presumably from the medical department.

Attached are a few pictures of tonight’s sunset and some of the food we enjoyed in the Crown Grill.

Ciao for now!

Great pictures KLM.  Thanks for the daily update!  It's good to know Princess is looking out for our health, but a medical follow up for Tums?  That poor person probably over indulged as we all have at some point on a cruise, and just needed some tummy relief.  I'd be more concerned over a NyQuil purchase.
Looking forward to your daily posts!  Keeping me so excited for our turn!

If anyone has a chance, can you ask how many PAX are on the next sailing on 12/4? Thanks.

I sent a text through the Crew Chat and the response I received indicated next week the ship will be at 60% capacity.

Ummm...no, but thank you. I was raised with Southern etiquette. I'll accept it, and either drink it, or give it to someone who will (most likely the first, as I don't like to waste things, and I'm not a champagne snob, look down on me if you will from your "Oceania cruiser" viewpoint)
