In the past has Royal offered any cruises that have included Quebec City?

Seems like I remember a few that started and/or ended in Quebec City.

Yes, usually repos from Cape Liberty or maybe Boston. Empress was even supposed to be home ported there.

Thanks and Happy New Year!

I know RC did in 2019. Adventure. Looks like nothing for 2022. We're booked on Celebrity for 21 September 2022 that has an overnight in Quebec City.

We will always remember sailing in and out of Quebec...October 2014, Legend of the Seas...beautiful fall foliage...then it got really cold...snow...5 layers of clothing didn't stop us from shivering walking up and down the hills of Quebec. We loved it...fond memories.

We did Quebec City - Bayonne, NJ in September 2018 on Adventure of the Seas. It was billed as an 11 day fall foliage southbound trip. The cruise started with an overnight in Quebec City, which was excellent for sightseeing and excursions.

Sadly, it seems that Royal has pulled these moving forward, probably for a few reasons. Getting to Quebec City is a bit of a pain from the US (compared to Montreal), and larger ships can't sail up the St. Lawrence to Montreal.

Anecdotally, I'm assuming Royal wasn't making a ton of money on the sailings. Because it was one-off, one-way, the cruise was priced very aggressively (aka cheap). The casino and bars were largely empty, as was specialty dining, so they weren't making up revenue there. Notably, there were a TON of high-status Crown and Anchor passengers on the voyage. The Diamond Lounge (and adjacent Viking Crown Lounge) were overrun during drink voucher hour like something you'd see on a spring break cruise, but then the bars and lounges would be deserted otherwise.

I'm hoping they reintroduce at some point, as Holland America's Montreal-south cruises seem to end in Boston most of the time, (which doesn't help us living in NYC).

We did the Snowbird migration in 2019 that started in Quebec City and arrived in Fort Lauderdale. It was wonderful.

We were on that one also and did 4 nights pre-cruise at the Place d' armes....What a great trip that was...I would definitely do that Snowbird itinerary again !!!

Empress was scheduled to join Oasis and Freedom in 2020, sailing from Bayonne. Empress had multiple cruises to Quebec and back planned that summer. Itineraries included Canadian ports, I never previously saw offered. The hours spent in the ports, including US ports like Boston, for whatever reason were reduced in many cases, making them less appealing to me.

We did a Quebec City to Port Liberty in 2017, and really loved it.  I would suggest spending a few days in Quebec City, as it's really cool.  Lots of history there.

We did this a few years ago. Loved it. Spent a few days in Old Quebec before. So much to do. We walked up and down those stairs so many times. Stayed in a boutique hotel right by the small park (the Fleur de Lis).

I do have to say, though, it was weird going through the Citadel from a Canadians point of view.

Can't wait to go back.

We sailed from Quebec City on Explorer a few years ago ending in Bayonne, it was a wonderful cruise.  We flew into Montreal and then took the train to Quebec the next day and it was a beautiful scenic journey, as we then stayed overnight in port we could come and go and explore and it was one of the nicest sailaways I can remember.
