I was going to start a thread called “on Oasis and it is getting weird”, but it would sound like a ripoff of this thread title.  So I will just post here.

We have a large (400+) religious group aboard, and a large group of SSC’s.  There have been some interesting dynamics going on.  Like oil and water, they don’t mix well.

We have about the same passenger count, but on the first night you would have thought it was a full ship, because the put all of the 400+ group in one dining room, and every table and every seat was filled.

We will be on Oasis on 3/6 (hopefully, she sails).  What are SSC's?

Also - have they been holding the Chef's Table on Oasis?  (I'm guessing Solarium Bistro has been closed)

Do not miss Jimmy Hopper! Hands down, one of the best multi-talented performers that you'll see on a Royal ship! seriously, the guy has filled venues in Las Vegas. My absolute favourite!

He was on Navigator Dec 13 to 20.  He was very good.  Every time I saw him he was eating, and can't weigh 160.

Same sex couples.

The app lists Chef’s table available to book each night, but we haven’t been there to verify it is going.

Bistro is closed for dinner.

That should be interesting, especially when both groups make up the vast majority of those on board.

Walked around the forward cabins before lunch. (Several hours after my first trip)

Decks 7-10 all have the interior hallway cabins closed off. Most likely for crew in my opinion.

Guessing around 30 cabins per floor

This section is easy to isolate with fire doors

Right.  They’re rooming crew to avoid contagion.

Yummms!!  😉  Looks like same spot we usually have breakfast in CK?

Went to Chops this morning.  OMG..really busy....sound level off the charts.  Back to CK for breakfast rest of the week. 😉

?????
We must be having breakfast in the “quiet” chops. Breakfast has been delightful, food and service beyond superb, and a wonderful way to start the day. Have not experienced crowds last week or this week. (They were only 75 pinnacles on board).  we have not found it crowded or noisy

Sorry your experience was not as delightful as ours has been

Is the internet good enough for Zoom Conference Meetings?

Sorry can't continue this, this is off topic and I get blasted for that on CC.

Back to " Weird on Harmony"

Yes.

Have had several meetings with zoom or face time.

don’t think you really need to get back to “weird  on Harmony as I am on harmony and I’m not finding anything weird.  Perhaps we have to adapt to a minor change or two because of the circumstances, but nothing I would categorize as weird.

Hoping those celestial chunks of rocks align soon.  😉

Thanks, indeed we are enjoying ourselves...good to be back on Harmony again.  Let the future bring what may.  😉  Cheers!  🥃

Agree. Adjust to the situation and move on. It could be worse. 🍻

OK, I adjusted.  I've only had one Miami Vice ....so far.... and didn't over do dessert 😋.  I don't feel as stuffed tonight.

I've found it noisy at times. Especially yesterday when captain was explaining what was going on in CC. I just about yelled at the table next to us to shut up so we could hear.

The food and service has been phenomenal though. And this is the first one that hasn't felt like a meat locker temperature wise

Okay, a question.  How is the PA system on Harmony?   On Oasis, it always sounds like Charlie Brown’s teacher is making them.

We have arrived at the consensus that they are saying “have another drink”.

Off to follow orders now.

It's a little weird to have most of the shows cancelled. Grease, Columbus, Fine Line. And swapping out 1887 for ISkate was odd. Curious on the reason for that. Luckily we saw 1887 on Sunday night

Yes I've had shows cancelled, but not 75% of them.😉 That's definitely weird in my book. But we survive. At least GA won. That was fun last night.

Its decent, but we have  Canadian Captain, eh, and an American CD. That makes it a wee bit easier

The had been closing the elevator bank doors into casino, but opened them today

20220111_203426.thumb.jpg.501db9df05b947871f29bc149e4a3a37.jpg

I'm guessing it was to control access into a vaccinated area. Up until today they were actually checking for wrist bands at all three entrances.

Tonight no one even asking you to washy washy. That was unexpected. (Hate to say weird now)

@Missusdubbyatonight was Poblano soup in MDR. I've started ordering a bowl instead of two cups. Tonights was a bucket😉

20220111_203344.thumb.jpg.bdf7cf26cc70f945aaa083f1a41b3c82.jpg

Here's the after picture to show how big it was

20220111_203333.thumb.jpg.afd75659fc72d06395d2ffca7e720c78.jpg

But something was missing. Turns out the waiters add all the goodies before adding the soup

20220111_203322.thumb.jpg.73e15ebb3b8e4513ee7154e007b4028e.jpg

Since mine was special ordered for size, the goodies got overlooked. Now overall, the soup was fantastic. I should have spoke up earlier to get the corn, peppers, and chorizo.

In the end they brought me a cup and I built it myself

20220111_203308.thumb.jpg.5c67bd02222efe828a890efb43ea4b01.jpg

I'm guessing I had 4 cups of soup tonight🤣🤣

Great hit!!!

She put in $100 and was down to about $11

Overall this game, FireBall Link I think, has been very good to her. She charged $200 to the room on Sunday, and now has (12) $100 bills in her safe.

I had no luck on Dancing Drums

Those fire links and dancing drums are usually the machines you see hit more often then others. I think it’s because they get so much play.  My wife will be sitting right next to her on odyssey in a few weeks!!

good luck to both of you and rack up some points.😉
