When does outdoor promenade close (Caribbean Princess)?

I enjoy walking full laps outside on the promenade.  Am I able to do this in the evening?  Or do the stairs that go up at the bow get chained off?

 

Also, are chairs still (during the pandemic) available in various spots on the promenade?

The only time I have see it closed is during extreme high winds.  The last time I was on a Princess ship  was pre pandemic and they did have chairs on the promenade.

The stairs on Grand Class ships including the Caribbean Princess are generally closed off at dusk. The bridge requires this area to be dark.

I have read here that the aft section may be reserved for a crew smoking area.

The remainder of the promenade should be open weather permitting.

We were on the CB January 2  - 9.  We like to walk 2 miles every morning and on most port days a portion was blocked off as the crew was busy painting the walls and ceilings and varnishing the lockers and lounge chairs.  I would think that they would be finished by now!  The aft section was wide open.

We were on the CB in late January. The stairs on the port side were chained off each time we walked, but the starboard side was open. While on port in St Thomas the stairs were still open long after sunset.

I don't think they ever finish the painting and varnishing. As soon as they finish a round, it's time to start all over again. Or so it seems to me.

At sea believe stairs are closed. Bridge needs this arra to be dark.

When we find an area closed off, we just head for the nearest door & cross to the other side to finish our Promenade walk.
