Restaurant near Embassy Suites

Any suggestions or recommendations for dinner places within walking distance of Embassy Suites on 17th Street in Fort Lauderdale?

What kind of food, ambience, and price are you looking for?

Basic, sit down, 6 people. Nothing fancy or expensive. Just a good meal after a full day of travel from the west coast! So something we can walk to?

Duffy's is right behind the Embassy Suites (less than a block away) in the Harbor Shops Shopping Center.  https://www.duffysmvp.com/

Southport Raw Bar and Kelly’s Landing for seafood. They both are a short walk on Cordova Road, just north of 17th Street.15th Street Fisheries is another good seafood place. It’s a little more of a walk but a very nice place. One floor of the restaurant is casual and the other one is more reserved. That means no open toe shoes, tank tops, etc.

Duffys is our choice as well for that area…..

Kelly’s Landing is in the plaza across the street from the Embassy Suite.  We go there every time we are in FLL.

We have dined at Duffy’s several times and will return there when staying before our next cruise from Port Everglades. There is also an Outback Steakhouse close by.

Kelly's Landing is our must go to restaurant whenever we're in the area. My Boston accent fits right in and we meet so many from MA who relocated to FL while dining there. 

 

Since we always stay at the Hyatt, we enjoy happy hour at Messaluna.

I like Quarterdeck.  Very reasonable prices, great happy hour drinks.  It's a bit further from the hotel (still a very reasonable walk) so it tends to be less busy.

Duffy's- fun sports bar, good for groups, kids etc. 

Kelly's landing- small, popular with locals, great seafood selections. 

Southport Raw Bar- outdoor seating on marina is fun, dive bar type atmosphere, but good food. 

Gilbert's 17th Street Grill- strip mall, but Mrs. Gilbert is a legend, that place is super fun. Burgers, beers, excellent desserts

Boatyard- fancier

LaSpada Hoagies- just need a sandwich? These are top notch!

Outback Steakhouse is right near the hotel. Also across the street is a nice Irish Pub called Waxy's Irish Pub.

We have gone to Waxy's Pub across the street from the Embassy Suites. It's a fun little place and the fish/chips are pretty good.
