Aaarrrggghhh! I have gotten into a pointless ethics debate on another thread and must stop!

Please, could my Dailyite family close your eyes for moment and chant ‘Stick to the Daily, Laura, stick to the Daily’. I need help to stay in a safe space and end this madness. TIA.

Well, for what little it’s worth, I agree with you 200%.  I think it’s unscrupulous to submit and then sell the shares but what do I know?   I was following that thread and nearly posted and then decided against it as the poster is “right” and the rest of us are wrong.

Exactly!  Well said 🙂

I don't think I have been to a dentist for about 9 years.  I have a feeling I need to get checked, and now would be a good time. And then book my shot.

Yikes - 9 years?  Ahh, yes, you need to be checked.  I might be petrified but I go.  Get thyself to the dentist toute de suite, my friend.

Well maybe a blessing in disguise.  We are now in the ER.  DH has intense pain and we decided we cannot wait any longer.

In waiting room waiting for his turn.

Oh my, Terri.  That’s awful.  Good that he’s being seen now but scary.  Prayers for him and you 🙏🏻

The Daily's Dentist's Day has cursed me. I was eating some walnuts while watching the sailaways from FLL, and my crown fell out yet again! I have an appointment with the hygienist on Tuesday, so I'll just wait until then. I was having food get trapped between it and another tooth, which always seems to precede it falling out.

@Horizon chaser 1957 Now I have to go find that thread. Stick with us, lol.

@bennybear Congrats on the great niece's baby boy and good to hear that your neighbor is doing ok post stroke.

@Cruzin Terri So sorry to hear DH is in the ER, but maybe it's for the best so they can get to the bottom of the problem quickly. Prayers.

@Vict0riann Good luck with the dentist and the Prolia. I took Boniva for osteopenia, and it brought my bone density back to normal. I still take it but only 3x a year, just to have a little protection.

@Crazy For Cats That's wild about the app.

Very worrying but I am glad you may get some answers. Best wishes to you both.

I've been reading the daily for awhile but haven't posted. What a nice group of people are here. Just wanted to tell the women that I have been on Prolia for years and no side effects -I had loads from Fosamax and had to go off of it. My numbers have greatly improved on Prolia.

Terri hope your husband is treated and if needed admitted to the hospital. It is shame we can't get doctor appointments when we are sick and need to be seen.

Thanks for all the info and comments about osteoporosis drugs.  I recently emphatically failed my latest Dexa, and am waiting (an eternity) for an appointment with a specialist.  It seems as if everything requires a specialist these days.  hmmmmm.

That is exactly the problem I was having.  Flossing to get the food out somehow loosens the crown.

@tupper10 Welcome to the Daily.  Hope we hear more from you!

Being here is the nicest place to be. (the Daily)  We don't argue, we don't fight, and for some reason while we all grew up in different places, we all seem to have a lot in common.  So when I get brave (foolish) and wander to another thread0- the following usually happens.

I have been fortunate enough to have wonderful dentists all my life where ever I have lived. Have never been afraid to go to the dentist although my first root canal and crown was quite painful.

My cousin and I were named after our grandmothers. She had our maternal grandmothers first name which was Martha and I had her middle name Jane as my middle name. My first name was my paternal grandmothers middle name and I hated it so much that I legally dropped it, made Jane my first name and use M. as a middle initial only.

I love the meal and the wine of the day but the drink is way to sweet for me to enjoy.

Praying for all who need it, including the people of Ukraine and shout outs for those on our Celebration list.

Jane

I went to my VA provider and she prescribed the fosamax. I see her (or whoever replaces her since she’s leaving soon) again in 6 months, so we’ll see if they want me to see any specialists. The VA is not very good at dealing with women’s issues, especially older women. Not yet, anyway.

@Cruzin Terri Im going to keep on checking in this evening until about 11,  I hope that you are not stressing too badly.  This sounds right that they should see him Immediately!  if he was having chest pains.   If you need to post to have someone listen, I'm here.

No chest pains.  It is abdominal pain.  He was doubled over with pain and I decided we had enough of this pain on and off. It was worse than ever.

Just came back from CT

Waiting for results now.

Thanks for your concern.

Terri

Our DS discovered a parrot, yes a parrot on a tree and called wildlife in how to protect it from the bald eagles.

One morning when my DW and I were getting ready for work and our DD was preparing for school, I looked out the back window of our house in Tacoma, WA, and saw a parrot at our bird feeder. I went out with a bowl of birdseed in my hand and he climbed on and came with me into the house. We tried, but were unable to locate the owner, so we kept him and named him Mr. Fox (it was a Quaker Parrot). Not sure how old he was, but we had him for a few years before he passed. He loved junk-food, playing peek-a-boo, and flying around the house. We didn't intentionally feed him any junk-food; but any time we had chips or popcorn he made a beeline to where we were.

We’re home.  We know just as much now as we did before.  Nothing significant to cause the pain he is having.  There’s a bit of constipation, but nothing that would cause that kind of pain.  So we are right back where we started from.

At least we know there is nothing seriously wrong.

So instead of going to a restaurant for that wonderful Chicken Pot Pie, we had scrambled eggs and toast for dinner. With some tea.

We will see what tomorrow brings.

Thank you all for all your prayers and support.  I appreciate it.  We have no family.  It is just DH and me.  No one else. Your support means a lot—believe me.

God Bless,

Terri

Oh Terri, what a day you and DH had today. Here’s hoping that the pain he is having will subside and totally go away.
