Luggage Valet- Is it still offered?

Recommended Posts

I have used this service in the past.  I am wondering after Covid if it is still available.  I see it on the Royal website, but not sure if it was updated.

Luggage Valet is a service offered onboard which enables guests to bypass traditional airport check-ins. Guest who participate will be processed onboard the ship and receive their airline boarding passes, luggage tags as well as baggage claim checks for their checked-in luggage.

Luggage Valet is offered at a minimal fee, plus the airline luggage fees. The per person fee is waived for guests staying in Grand Suites and above.

Royal Caribbean's Luggage Valet Program offers the following benefits:

  • Check-In for your flight onboard.
  • Receive your boarding passes and luggage tags in your stateroom.
  • Luggage will be transported directly from your stateroom to the airport and onto your flight.
  • No need to wait in lines to check-in at the airport.
  • International and Domestic flights are accepted. (Except for Delta Airlines, only Domestic flights)

The last I heard, for our February cruise was that it was not available in Florida.

it is available in Seattle as it is managed by the port or city of Seattle and not the cruise line.

Who assesses and collects the luggage fees? We fly with Delta and have our fees waived due to fare class or purchasing tickets using a Delta credit card.

Like you we generally fly FC and use AMX/Delta CC so luggage in no charge.  The fees are collected by RCCL for the handling and transportation for the luggage to the airport.  I found the fees to be very reasonable and worth the cost.

There is a place on the Luggage Valet Program sign up sheet provided by the ship to explain why exempt from baggage fees.

Even though I signed up online prior to the cruise I completed the form provided and returned it to Guest Services. The last night onboard our luggage tags and boarding passes were waiting in our stateroom when we returned at 6:30 pm.
