ms Zaandam in Port Everglades May 12, 2022

Zaandam is our last HAL sail-away of the Port Everglades season.  She will be at pier 26 (port to) from 6 am - 5 pm.  She is starting her Canada/New England season (with a Voyage of the Vikings thrown in).  She will also be the first HAL ship back to Port Everglades (for the start of the 2022-23 season) on October 10 when she will leave on the Grand Africa that has been postponed in 2020 and 2021.  Provided COVID does not cause more difficulties, I will be on that cruise.

 

She is the only cruise ship in port.

Would like to see onboard pics of the Zaandam. I hope she looks good. Captain Timmers, who has been on the Rotterdam, spoke well of the Zaandam in April.

tried to do this 'first sailing back in service' and continue on with 5 other back to backs-- no good.. Passenger Vessel Services Act (PVSA) got us...  so on to Plan B.. get onboard the Zaandam in Boston on May 28 for 4 back to backs.. have done this itinerary 5x in the past last in May 2019

We were on the beautiful Zaandam in April 2018 for 23 days, Ft. Lauderdale to Seattle.  We will be back on board in July for the VOV.  We loved this ship, a great small ship, and look forward to sailing her again. VOV is a bucket list cruise for us.

You should have been able to book the B2Bs starting in Fort Lauderdale as long as YOUR final destination was in Canada

I was on that ship too. We met Maasdam off the Mexican coast and were treated to a little tootfest. She was going south to begin her New England -Canada season. We [Zaandam] were going north to start the  Alaska season.
