Not sure what your asking..  Number boarded?  Someone mentioned 3,9xx but not an official.   I would be really surprised to see Ovation sailing at much less than capacity from now on.  So many on here we were not able to up to a GS! 😆

I was wondering about a discussion board on Cruise Critic. I wasn't clear in my question. I have since found one. Thanks for responding.

Man, oh Man!   I had to fix my own coffee this a.m. and no one cooked me breakfast.  Loving your review.  I’m sure you’re going to have a wonderful week.

You think that's tough,  I had to wait while they toasted my English Muffins!  😆

I shared this on another thread.   My DD is getting into making polymer clay ear rings.  She finished making these last night for Sharon and friend to wear on the cruise!

Our original Alaska plan was to cruise with our youngest daughter and Sil.  She was unable to join us.  She is having her 1st baby in 3 months.   Her mind is more on the baby right now.  I found a pic that reminds me of her and the baby. My DD is much cuter.

I am having a hard time with the internet so I will drop in when I can.

Yup, welcome to cruising to Alaska. Loving your review. Enjoy the trip, and don’t worry about us. Post when you can.

Keep an eye open for those whale water spouts.

How was your dinner in Grande?  I assume you will have the same table each night and can just walk in without standing in line. If possible can you post some pictures of the room especially near the windows.

Enjoying all the pictures and info.

I didn't get pics of the room but will if I remember tonight.

We both got Prime Rib last night.  It was great.  Perfect cooked to taste and was so tender.  I love where we are seated, one table away from windows.  The staff is friendly but felt that they were assigned to many tables. Some longer than expected wait time between dishes but not enough to concern us.  As for waiting,  just don't show up early and you will be in quite enough.

Thank you so much for doing this! These lives are getting me pretty pumped even though our Ovation cruise is over a year away. 😉

If anyone onboard gets a chance to check: could you verify that you're able to access the cabin area of deck 13 from the lower level of the Solarium, through the "hidden" hallway? I read somewhere that not all Quantum ships do that, but I'm not sure I trust the source. 🤨

Thank you and have a wonderful time!!

I will try to remember.   Not sure if I will be able to find it.  Right now we are sitting out I  the cold watching whales pop up.

ME & Thank you for this AND this entire thread so far!  We've already hit the road stopping in Boise, ID to visit our son and packed a TON of clothes; including those for 2-formal nights.  We sail next week to celebrate our 30th Anniversary.  Our Honeymoon was on a cruise, although just slightly less fancy, sailing on The Encahndress (a converted WW2 Hospital Ship).  Back in the olden days, when they took actual photos, we'd try to see just how "silly" we could pose, more or less so when people were walking through the gallery they'd get e kick out of them.  On the one formal night on our initial cruise, they caught a pic that was equal part funny, but also captured our personalities.  We bought that one and have recreated the same on every cruise since.  Sorry I went and hijacked a bit (again).  Last week's thread and this one as just SO what I needed to get ready for next week,

With the extra bags we bought, wish we had the Suite space but with all there is to do and see, we are not much in the room..... except running back to get another layer of clothes. 😆

@Ozark_KidI found a duck last week too. I kept forgetting to look, and just by chance, found one by a cabin door, as I was doing deck laps. Mine didn’t have a fancy necklace though 😢

She is considering taking it on our next cruise and letting it go there so it can be warmer.   😆

So as you can see we are at the Solarium whale watching.

I talked to a crew member who wants to remain anonymous.   The CM said that at the very front of the Solarium where it drops down, in both corners the are doors for Crew Only.   He says passengers go through from the 13th floor but he sees nothing,  absolutely nothing. 😆

If you are into seeing ocean activity,  sitting inside the 1st part of the Solarium on the ocean side is the place to be.  Perfect view, not crowded and the temperature is perfect. We have been seeing whale blows, fish splashing out, etc.  It comes and goes.  Maybe I will be quick enough to catch some action.

The pools and hot tubs are filling up.

Yes, a hot water kettle. DW thought at first it was a coffee maker and was excited.

I'm bringing a pour-over coffee maker and ground coffee when I go in August. I like my coffee when I get up and I hear the coffee on the ship is mediocre at best. Thanks!

Sorry I am late to the show, very excited to follow along on your cruse and see all the amazing photos too!      I hope you all have an amazing cruise with great weather😍

When Sharon found the duck I remembered the pics of ducks you posted awhile back. Was it you that mentioned the deck out from the Windjammer? Great spot.  It,s blocking the wind and its sunny.  So nice. We walked out here after eating inside.

We got there a few minutes before our dining time and the line went all the way back into the casino.

If you have reservations in the MDR can you bypass the line and just straight to the maî·tre stand?
