Validating records on Royal Caribbean app

Apologies if this has been posted more than once before ..

 

After uploading a snapshot of my vaccination card via the RC app, there is a perpetual 'We are validating your records..' status.

10 days have elapsed since initial submission.

 

Any idea how long this takes before changing status to Verified?

I think it's whenever assigned person has time to get to it.  Long as it doesn't get rejected for some reason, I wouldn't worry about it.

Ours took a while to validate. If I remember it 3-4 weeks.

I wouldn't worry about as you need to bring the original with you and will probably be checked a couple of times before you get onboard.

It doesn't matter if it never gets validate, because everyone has to show their vaccination record at check-in even if already validated.  

Don't worry about it.

It took a little over 2 weeks for us

About a week for my 4 Cruises last Month, but as said already need show it at Pier anyway. Daughters Family same Cruise took about 2 weeks

I would just bring a printout to the terminal and have them validate it there.  That's what we did, and based on what I've seen from other folks, this may have been the least time-consuming decision.

One hour here. The U.K. ones are on our app and create QR codes that are valid for 30 days.

QR codes on ours are now valid till November!! Previously it was 30 days.

What exactly is the validation process?  Is it just showing a card?

 

Where I live we have an app that gets their information directly from the vaccine site but how does Royal verify someone that just shows a card?

Not much”validation” going on with the app or staff. 
 

best validation I’ve gotten recently is “Man, you wife is good looking”. Then again, perhaps that’s validation for her. 😝

Nobody knows, and it doesn't matter anyway.  You still have to show the card (or whatever proof of vaccination you have) upon boarding.

Strange that so many here are saying they uploaded their vaccination card and still had to show it at the terminal.  I was on the Anthem in April and uploaded my card.  When I got into the terminal to check in, I took my card out and they said I didn't need to because I already uploaded it.  Just had to show my negative test confirmation.

My point is that Royal should be more transparent so a customer can make an informed decision regarding the risk of traveling.

We uploaded yesterday and it was validated today. But our cruise is 2 weeks away.

That maybe an Anthem/Bayonne thing - different ports/staff do different things.

How in the heck is the validation process related to "the risk of traveling"?????
