  1. 1. What's your favorite class of Carnival ship?

Recommended Posts

So we just booked a cruise on the Carnival Spirit in October. Looking at the ship layout I realized we have not been on a Spirit class ship before and it got me thinking about what everyone's favorite class of ship is so I decided to make a little poll to see.

Our all time favorite ship has been the Splendor. No idea why. We just always had a great time on that ship (4 cruises on it)!

Favorite class would likely be Dream class.

My favorite ship is the Breeze - is she considered a Dream class ship? Seems like she's kind of a bridge ship between Dream and Vista classes.

I also love the Conquest class ships!

Yes, the Breeze is Dream class.

Spirit class.  small ship, not crowded.  has 3 big pools.  has a pool in the serenity area.  back pool is open to the ocean, not surrounded by glass or ship structure.  Cost premium on a balcony room is small since it has so many balcony cabins.

That's good to hear. I'm looking forward to checking out a different layout. We got an extended balcony on this cruise.

Just went on the Spirit to Alaska and I love the old gal! She has the classic gawdiness of older ships and I love every bit of it! I have been on all the Spirit class ships now and intentionally book them almost all the time. By far the easiest ship to navigate from front to back on all decks and they never seem crowded even at capacity. I hope Carnival keeps them around for several more years!

A small sampling of the lovely gawdiness. Also, if you are a fan of table cloths, you are in luck! The spirit has them every night of the cruise still! Splendor had none even on formal night on my recent AK cruise.

We like Conquest class ships the best. Second to us would be spirit class ships. We just did the Magic and the ship seemed always crowded and congested. Didn't like having to walk through the smokey casino if you wanted to get to the shops.

Conquest is the perfect size and layout for me, specifically the Freedom.  I love the Breeze too; the spa on the Dream class ships is the best in the fleet

Agreed - I love the Conquest class.

Spirit class gets our vote! We have been on the Miracle, Spirit, and Pride. Hopefully we will sail on the Legend someday. I am drawn to the quirky cabins- French door, bowling alley balconies, and 2 room Vista View suites. I love the in your face, Farcus/ Vegas interiors that are all so different. I appreciate that they aren’t cookie cutter designs. Even the grapes on the ceiling in the dining room make me smile. The ease of getting from the front of the ship straight to the back gets bonus points from me. Love all of the clam shells and the pool on the serenity deck. The laundromats have come in handy too. We hope Carnival does whatever it takes to keep that class of ships running💓🛳

Pride, Dream, and Conquest are my three favorite ships. I did not care for the Horizon. As long as they keep the Spirit-class and Conquest class ships up to par, I will continue cruising on those ships unless I am cruising based on itinerary.

I am all about the Dream class because of the Cloud 9 Spa with that big T-Pool.  If a ship does not have that setup, I am not sailing.  Passed up a pretty good deal on a 7-day on the Vista for a 5-day on the Breeze for this reason!

Spirit feels far more comfortable. Vista is pretty awesome. But, Spirit has nice places you can hide away, enjoy the beautiful vistas (views) and enjoy.

Funnily enough on a Vista ship it's hard to enjoy the vistas because they're so crowded and stuffed full!

Wharever the Legend is, Spirit class I think.

Much, MUCH , better than any other class I have been on. (I think Mardi Gras is the only one  I haven't been on yet)

Space on board per passenger was amazing.

Never felt crowded like you do on the newer ships.
