Following along Megan! If the kids are really in to snorkeling and you have enough time for an online purchase, I would recommend some anti fog gel for the snorkel masks. If they are brand new they take a few uses before they don't fog up. Also if you have sunscreen on your face it is more likely to fog the mask up. Safe travels!!

Quick spit… to the rescue via Amazon. (Insert eyebrow raises and shimmy)

It’ll be fine. Kids will sleep in the car and I’ll have pool duty during sail away while the driver sleeps.

I only slept in a car once. Long drive to Florida when I was 12 and I had a crick in my neck for two days.

My dad used to say we just have one hour left but its going to seem like five.

After the fall break trip to Pensacola, I said I’d never drive over 5 hours with them again. They asked why we couldn’t fly… at the cheapest plane tickets were $476 per person from OKC and over $500 from DFW. Driving it is. Go, go Benadryl…

*Disclaimer: that was a joke. I’d never “drug” my kids. Please don’t @ me. Road trips are typical, amazing Americana… we are just adding the vaccine, a wedding, a Covid test and a cruise ship into the mix.

We also know now why @Saint Greg cruises solo. 😉

Yay!! Along for the ride. We took our son on his first cruise at age 7 and he was immediately hooked. It was fun seeing his reactions to everything. Hope your kiddo loves it!

The girls have wanted to go again since 2018. We always take them on a big trip when they turn 4. My son chose Disney World in 2019… yuck. But now he’s ready, but he’s not excited to be blue when everyone else is red or gold. 😆 The next kid cruise is Oct and I’ll be platinum… wait til they have to go to Camp Ocean because mommy has a VIFP party. 🤯

Excursions are booked…

Cozumel, we are trying Playa Mia all inclusive…. All you can eat and drink. We will have to get a taxi there, but when I did the math with the transfer versus the taxi cost, it was cheaper to take taxis.
Progreso- Technohotel all inclusive. Includes pick up at the port. I wanted to avoid the bus ride  with the masses.
I also purchased water and Bacardi for the cabin. We will bring on soda and champagne… if you have followed me before, you know the champs is required.
Allstate rewards has e-cards available right now so a quick $450 purchase gives up $500 on board spending for Miami Vices, pina coladas, twilight zones, extra tips, maybe so arcade play, cherry on top, etc.

pre-paid grats all ready engaged.

You never experienced a road trip from the "way back" of a station wagon? I'm pretty sure you're from my era before seatbelt laws were a thing... 😂

No station wagons. I fell asleep in an early 90’s Chrysler fifth avenue.  Head straight back. And my neck hurt for two days.

FYI, on my May 28 Ecstasy cruise they didn't have a P/D party due to Covid and staff shortages.  I got an extra "free" drink.  Hope the party gets back on schedule soon!

Today has been all about last minute stuff… I’m getting a pedicure as I type this. I’m starting to wonder where the kids will ride in the Tahoe. Between wedding suitcases and cruise suitcases, I hope they’ll fit. May have to send some stuff back with family after “wedding weekend 2022”. There’s no way my kids will wear a tuxedo and flower girl dresses on the cruise… they are obviously baseball hat and swimsuit wearing MDR goers. 😉but seriously, they’ll save the super formal attire for a River cruise. No need to take that with us. Amazon keeps pushing back dates of prime delivered items, so I cancel the order and try with another supplier. I actually ordered a target Father’s Day gift yesterday and got 2 day shipping. Today it says it will be here Tuesday. Math is way off. Thanks UPS.

If the concern is about Quick Spit for the mask, just cancel it altogether.  My hobby is endurance swimming and actual spit is the best anti-fog around.  I know...gross, but it is why you will see most swimmers lick their goggles. 😛  Think of it as tears produced by the mouth. 🥲

Thanks. That one hasn’t been delayed yet. It’s been more my son’s wedding shoes, my dad’s Father’s Day gifts, and an eyeliner I use lol

I checked us all in 11pm central time, Sunday the 5th. We have a 10:30am check-in time, boarding group A02. The kids are registered for Camp Ocean and will NOT be allowed to check themselves out. For me, that’s just asking for trouble, and I will NOT have the kids pushing all the elevator buttons nor trashing the Swirl stations. It’s a “kid cruise” but supervisor is still my mom job. With that being said, no CHEERS! this trip 🤯😞 I know, I know, but there definitely will be cocktails and in cabin booze. My kids just aren’t ready to meet 15 drink Megan yet. 😆

I pre-purchased the “internets” before the price increase, so that is ready to rock. We have ATD like usual, and Covid tests are scheduled at Walgreens for Saturday morning before the rehearsal dinner we all have to attend. Luggage tags laminated, Covid cards/passports ready to roll, and ducks have been tagged!

@MeganGC1983 Wow!

I mean would I even recognize you?  Would Melania?

No Megan Thee 15!

No I dream of Jeannie outfit on sail away!

Not even a beekeepers outfit!

Well...I understand kids are involved...
