I have only read the live reviews and never posted one so i am going to try.

Flew into EWR with no issues. In fact, I started worrying it was going to easy. Flights were early, no baggage lost. The airport is a little tricky at catching the hotel shuttles but the people were helpful.

We are staying at The Country Inn on International. Great location to spend a few hours before the cruise. We were meeting up with friends from all over the US so they were coming in at different times. The hotel is no frills, clean, and staff have been friendly. We opted for the shuttle service at 17.50 each. It would have been cheaper for Uber or a little less for taxis but I am all about simple. Times are set at 10, 11, or 12. With a 11 check in we chose the 10.

There is an large outlet mall very nearby, walking distance with a crosswalk. It had plenty of to chose from to eat. A Ruby Tuesdays is beside the hotel. The Embassy Suite is next to us and a couple more a few yards away. This was good enough for our 18 hour pre-cruise.

There are 10 of us for reference.

I will let you know how embarkation goes later today.

Will be following as well. My husband and I are sailing with you guys and will be very interested in reading about your experience onboard and ashore. This is our first cruise since April 2019 and we are beyond excited!

10 people! Wow…my brother and mother tried to join us…I wasn’t having it!! Happy sailing 🎉

Day 1: Embarkation was interesting. Part of our party was sent to the suite section the rest of us was sent to general section. When we mention they were with us, they told us they didn’t care if they were sent there, you don’t belong. We are all next to each others rooms in concierge. I found the embarkation people were not very friendly.

They were a little late with check in so we didn’t get on until 1140 with 11:00 checkin. Check in was easy. We had hard copies for everything.

The concierge lunch was good. Limited menu but good. We heard 1800 on board but not sure if that is correct.

The ship is beautiful and staff has been great.

Two bags were delivered by 1:00, one bag still needed. Room is nice 8173. I like the 8th deck so far. A lot more storage than expected. Smaller than our Regent cruise but about the same for our balcony on NCL. A cabin is a cabin to sleep for me. But I have to have the balcony at least.

Does the picture of the cabin have anything to do with the proposal?

Nah. I just tossed it in. Trying to share  we are in an S2 suite HC cabin. Not enough drawers compared to a regular S1,S2…I packed the kitchen sink since we drive to port and it’s our first cruise post pandemic AND I like options. It’s the only time I’m nutty with overpacking…btw our embarkation was EZ Peazy. I had paper clipped together 3 pages for each of us (Boarding pass, COVID test, Bermuda TA ) with drivers licenses…..the lady thanked me for having it so organized. Birth certs and marriage certs were ready for her to review after the 3 pages…yes we are cruising “naked”, without passports. I swore they expired 7/30 and planned for us to renew right after this cruise- when I went to enter info on Celebrity oh crap- June 12th- so we jumped into action to get renewal going, they were still “processing” as of yesterday…had to order room service to get my normal 5 am coffee, room service doesn’t start till 6 though- I asked for milk for the tea and cream or 1/2 & 1/2 for the coffee. No cream came I’m roughing it out with the milk. We have a butler, but I won’t ask to get me some- we will just fix for tomorrow. All staff work so hard, we prefer to let them help others in true need. Now if only tea was delivered, I would bother them, cause this girl has to have morning coffee. OMG does cruising again feel sooooo good. Gym opens at 6, but I never speak to people before coffee…we don’t spend more than 30 minutes, so we don’t qualify as gym rats- just keeping our old bones moving… haha- We have 1,000$ on board credit, thankfully 400$ are refundable.

Many times we got empty elevators yesterday, a few times very full. I used my finger not knuckle to press the floor, realized it  & a lot of jokes were made my finger was gonna fall off due to the Rona. I’m keeping hand sanitizer in my purse. That elevator ride had a lively bunch and turned out we were all in education- preschool to high school. Yes it was a short ride but everyone was laughing. I’m a school nurse and worked they the pandemic, so used to protecting myself-so I annoyed with myself I did that! I had three full vaxx doses and one booster- so I’d liked to stay COVID free. I’m already looking to book our next cruise- the ABC islands might work as I can’t find a European cruise where the itinerary is what we want.

We stopped in the Retreat Club to borrow a pen as there was none in the cabin. Forgot to ask how many souls on board. That would have been a good place to ask.

Today relaxation is the order of the day. It’s soooo bright outside, we are barely awake & are keeping those curtains closed…

Ok. Recovering on the balcony (weirdly elevator ppl can see us in their view, so not the best balcony but I am on lounger facing other direction so no biggie) from gym & breakfast. At 7:30 pic shows chair hogs in full force- but there were two chaises open…and no one in the pool.. gym has 13 treadmills, one rower forgot how many elliptical. At least 6 and a lot of weight machines. The elliptical was really nice. You can set it to take you on a journey, or watch TV, play games. I chose San Francisco cause I was hoping it would go across the bridge. Worked up a sweat, went right to Luminae. Fresh squeezed OJ, a croissant to die for and I had an omelet. Walked up one level to 5, shops weren’t open- so I walked up to our deck - 9…I was on the struggle bus because it was right after we ate- but it’s just my way of balancing too many yummy food choices. Stopped in Retreat Club to ask souls on board number- was told close to capacity- 2080- but obviously it’s prob capacity cabin wise cause ship can hold more ppl…after a bit we will head up to Retreat deck to do nothing- I’ll read maybe…later lunch & dinner- chic night & a show…

I went w fancy schmantzy dresses- was not in the mood for a gown like I usually do. Discovered despite packing a shoe store I forgot my Oofos sandals for the pool.. I thought they were in my first bag… but I happened to have something else from my “shoe store” I did pack.

Mind if I ask, how long before you sailed did you receiving your BTA email approving your travel?

Were you required to upload your pre-cruise covid test? Per the BTA website it seems you no longer have to but per Celebrity's pre-cruise testing instructions it makes it sound like you still must upload.

Thank you!

Thank you!

Husbands vaxx record had an issue. PFR is standard USA/CDC standard for Pfizer- I had to show them that to get him cleared, I was Moderna aka MOD on the NJ vaccination registry. We straightened his out Tuesday before Sunday sail date. Bermuda no longer required COVID test upload, but we’ll have as copies as we get off the ship in case we are asked.

Do you mind checking how many Peloton bikes are in the gym? I only saw one in your photo. Wondering if the others have been loaned out to suite guests for in-room use.
