Jim, following along with you has been informative! I am looking forward to when the 2024 sailings are released. If they are running a similar itinerary we might be on it. My husband loves to cruise local out of Florida, but he has mentioned wanting to see Iceland, so I might have him hooked.....

@Jim_IainWhat beautiful scenery.  I do not think you could possibly post too many pictures for my liking.  You gotta love iPhones.  Now I am really looking forward to what you post in Iceland.  It is pretty cool to be able to turn around and repeat the itinerary somewhat and have an opportunity to capture anything you might have missed or anything that was previously hidden in the mist.  I will definitely have to check out the 2024 schedule and watch out for this itinerary.  One question for you:  Was the lamb chop a requested “small portion” or does it just look small because the charger is so ginormous?

Agree... I was talking to a good friend that is a big gambler and they said they were enforcing in casino for Craps and Sit Down games.    At first no one at door then a couple people were told that they had to wear a mask and refused -  they got angry, so they took their chips and left.    To take the pressure off the dealers they setup someone at the door with masks.

I've not been to the theater but others last night told me they have really been packed and there have been some refusing to wear masks.

Yup, that sounds about right. We had officers standing at the entrances of the theater asking folks to put a mask on. But then after they entered the theater, there were of course those few that thought they couldn’t be bothered and put them back in their pocket. But, that’s pretty much the norm on most of the cruises we’ve been on where they’ve implemented wearing masks in the theater. We just stay totally clear of those visionary ones. Kind of like those that don’t wear a mask that come to the B2B meeting and have to test the next day! 😂

They are suggesting November but Future Cruise doesn't have any dates yet and are going by well they usually....

Just checked. They do have the same itinerary in 2023 - about the same dates. Hoping for 2024 !!

Thank you again for keeping us enthralled!

Not only that but on one port I have a 8:00 AM tour booked..   Shhhhhh   I'll spring that one on him last minute.   I'll have to look to see what port but it was a wonderful tour to visit some falls....

In Reykjavík we going a 10 hour Golden Circle Route, and have meet at 5:45 am 😱, it a 10 hour tour

I did ask the wife if it was ok before I booked it 😁

You will have lots of choices.  Probably have seen 20000 waterfalls.  Hope the weather forecast is wrong as rain forecast starting this afternoon.20220816_092950.thumb.jpg.2054560afde97740b4c6b05398e30aa6.jpg

All you have to do is hook him once... Then Reel Him IN     Many from Florida on this cruise as they just had to fly to New Jersey and with a B2B it is so much easier than a  European one way.

I agree.   I planned on scoping out things at ports this cruise and then schedule some things on the return we didn't know about.

One is in Greenland they had  an small group tour on Zodiac's exploring Icebergs and actually went out to the same island as us.  It is not listed on the website but shore excursion will open (they hope) at 10:00 AM on turn around day.      It looked like such fun and they had them in waterproof outfits with thermal waterproof gloves.    They did much more than us and the price was much lower.

The Lamb Shanks were of an average size but was more than enough and they offered a second if Iain wished.   He could hardly eat one.     I was afraid they would be too big so chose the Muscles - Appetizer but they made it into a Main....   It was amazing and will order again next week.

The Maitre D' said he enjoyed watching the Fjords through the windows of Luminae.   I kidded him that next week he could see the other side.

Maybe you should book it to lock in a cabin on a Refundable and then shift to 2024 when you see the dates and the prices.

The B2B meeting this morning was very smooth.   It was surprising that there were very few stupid question's.    Must have a lot of veteran B2B's.

The best news was we do not have to do immigration, as we are In-Transit.    Other guests have to go for a Face to Face in SkyLounge stating at 0600 -- ouch.

Wonderful photos Jim thank you for taking the time and sharing your experience. Have DH almost convinced to have a few days in New York and then take this cruise next year. We definitely have gone off long haul flights but 6/7 hours okay. We have booked the Suez Canal Rome to Dubai again 6 hour flight home, would have loved to continue to Singapore but long flight home even in business class (which has now become so expensive) takes a long time to recover from the jet lag.

I agree with you on them long flights and I'm a 2 Million Miler on United.   My body just is not as forgiving when I was younger.    The prices are really high for Singapore and Sydney...
