rjack22 Posted August 11, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2022 (edited) I suspect that the color of the medallions reflect your "status" with Princess because mine showed red (i'm Ruby) and my husbands showed yellow (He's gold). I know that you can pay extra and get custom ones made but I am cheap and I don't want to do that. I really don't want to walk around with my "status" showing either. I noticed in the example it was blue. Is that a color of the one of the status's? If not, is it possible to order one in plain blue? I wouldn’t worry about it, no one really cares about your color. You can tuck the lanyard inside your shirt if you want.
Rare HBCcruiser Posted August 11, 2022 #4 Share Posted August 11, 2022 It is the center of the medallion that is colored according to your Circle status. I suppose you could get a small sticker the same size and cover it up. It will not harm your medallion or prevent it from working.
Moondogy Posted August 11, 2022 #5 Share Posted August 11, 2022 They also sell magnets that can go over it to cover it up, I believe they cost around $
Rare cr8tiv1 Posted August 11, 2022 #6 Share Posted August 11, 2022 Or. you can hope that Princess makes a mistake and sends you a blue one. They did that to me. If you are really concerned, Customer Service Desk has the ability to swap out Medallions. You could ask them for a blue one. Or just stick it in your pocket. rjack22 Posted August 12, 2022 Author #7 Share Posted August 12, 2022 Who would normally get a blue one?
Mike45LC Posted August 12, 2022 #8 Share Posted August 12, 2022 The office supply company Avery makes adhesive dots in various sizes. Maybe you can get a dot that is approximately the size of the medallion and cover it up. Then, color it Black with a Sharpie to pretend that you are Elite. That will definitely impress your fellow cruisers. I don't wear the lanyard around my neck, but keep the medallion in my pocket unless I need to show it for some reason. No one sees the color, and no one cares (except if I am requesting tender priority).
ElkGroveCruiser Posted August 12, 2022 #9 Share Posted August 12, 2022 First-Time Princess cruisers get the blue medallions.
Fjord4Fun Posted August 12, 2022 #10 Share Posted August 12, 2022 We are both first-time Princess cruisers and although I've been allocated a blue medallion, my wife has been allocated a gold one. As long as both work I don't really see that the colour is significant.
MissP22 Posted August 12, 2022 #11 Share Posted August 12, 2022 People who have blue medallions probably get better service anyway. 1

No worries here, no one really cares, so is it a fear of being bullied? Relax and enjoy your cruise,

Jase0581 Posted August 12, 2022 #14 Share Posted August 12, 2022 I really liked the one's they are using for the inaugural season of the Discovery with the white background and the logo in the status color. I think they look so much nicer.

If 3,000 other people (on one ship, and 30,000 on any given day on ten ships) are walking around showing their status, why do you think that this is a problem? What is the downside?
rjack22 Posted August 12, 2022 Author #16 Share Posted August 12, 2022 Its not about showing my status, not really. Its more about not liking the color. Silly I know. But there it is.
EDDY0827 Posted August 12, 2022 #17 Share Posted August 12, 2022 Sharpie pens come in all of the colors of the rainbow. Pick a color and customize it yourself.
