That's what actually makes her fun and funny.  I doubt Fortuna Luck is going away anytime soon because most of the times we have seen her people are fine with her.  

 

Just chuckling that people are so upset at a character on a cruise ship.

Like I said, we just ignore her and it really doesn't affect us one way or the other. I'm much more bothered by the folks yelling out, "So good! So good! So good!" whenever we have Sweet Caroline inflicted on us.

Live performers have had such a bad go of it during Covid that I am more than willing to overlook the annoyance in favor of having some performers being able to get a paying gig again. Her steady paycheck is more important than my mild annoyance.

I have seen her in the casino at an educational/ promotional table.  She did not force herself on anyone and simply engaged with passengers who stopped by her table.  She did not engage with those of us gaming.  She did not bother me at all (and lots of things bother me!!)

If you went to her Bingo session, she probably would have annoyed you.  If you went to watch one of the games and she was one of the "hosts" she probably would have annoyed you, knowing that a lot of things bother you!  LOL 
I only saw her standing in the Casino and did not engage.

Very interesting, how vitriolic people can be about a cruise freebie.  I haven't been on Princess for about five years and have never seen Fortuna Luck.  But I'd like to.  Is she on all the ships?  I'm on Sapphire in October--hope to see her there and see what all the criticism is about.

It's not vitriolic to say you don't like a character....which is exactly what she is.  Much like the character, Velma Dinkley on the Scooby-Doo cartoons.  Honestly she just talks too much!

Suzyed, you don’t know me and until the bingo session with Fortuna only smokers who have been smoking in non-designated areas annoy me.  Speaking of, on Crown was walking with other passengers on Promenade when we stopped as saw staff confront passengers on Promenade.  Asked if everything ok, they said no passengers were flicking cigarettes over the railing.

I first saw her in January, 2022.  I believe bingo is hosted by that character on all Princess ships now. The same actress plays the part of the female pirate who hosts poker games in the casino
