grapau27 Posted September 1, 2022 #4 Share Posted September 1, 2022 Thank you for the fleet reports and Daily Rich. 19°C and sunny here at 11.51am. Cherry popovers are nice but never tried Tofu. Ginger cats do not seem to be popular but like all cats they deserve to be appreciated. Interesting quote. Not sure about today food and drink selection and we have never been to today's port so like every day I look forward to seeing photos. I hope everyone has a nice day today. Take care and stay safe. seagarsmoker Posted September 1, 2022 #6 Share Posted September 1, 2022 (edited) Thanks for the Daily Report and I hope everyone has an awesome Thursday! Suzi has enjoyed looking at the HAL 2023-2024 Caribbean cruises way too much! LOL Looks like we will probably go on the 11-day Eurodam (end of October 2023) and then probably a western cruise in March of 2024. Probably will wait to book when we are on the NA in November. kochleffel Posted September 1, 2022 #8 Share Posted September 1, 2022 (edited) Rabbit, rabbit. I stopped myself before saying that to a server in Café Promenade— the menu there is limited and certainly doesn’t include rabbit. I particularly like ginger (red tabby) cats but don’t have one. This is the only sea day and I am sprawled on a lounger in the solarium. I have no interest in, or talent for, music trivia, which there seems to be a lot of, or in a half-price sale on t-shirts depicting ports that the itinerary doesn’t visit. Rare puppycanducruise Posted September 1, 2022 #9 Share Posted September 1, 2022 Rabbit Rabbit White rabbit Thanks for the Fleet and Daily Report. Lots of people love ginger cats. Cherry popovers sound good, but I'll pass on the tofu. Love the quote. I'll pass on the meal, not sure about the drink but I'm sure I'll like the wine. It's a cool morning here, only 8C (46F) here this morning, but it should warm up to 25C (77F) this afternoon. Welcome September, please be good to us. Prayers for everyone on the Care List. Cheers for all the celebrations. Stay safe.

Rare kazu Posted September 1, 2022 #11 Share Posted September 1, 2022 Rabbit, rabbit, white rabbit. Thanks for our Thursday Daily, Rich. I’ll happily celebrate Ginger Cat appreciation day. Heck, I’ll celebrate any cat 😉 I like the Dessen quote. The meal sounds interesting sans chick peas 😉 & look forward to hearing about the wine. After all that rain yesterday, the sun will come out today 👍 There was a bit of hydroplaning going to the grief meeting yesterday but it was only the old road so no one was going ridiculously fast and all was good. A very happy birthday to you @Cruzin Terri Trying to stick with my planning list on “things to do” but today’s includes a lunch with my BFF. It will be nice to eat out with her 👍 Well, I don’t know what I did with my HAL account - but at long last I am receiving casino offers - one of my cruise segments is on the list 😬 I am struggling to see if it’s worth it to cancel and change everything or not. A lot of math involved & perk calculations 😉 The price dropped a few weeks ago and our roll call scored - now it is back up so my savings that I got may win out since I’d have to cancel the Collectors and rebook the one segment at current prices 😔 Prayers for everyone on the Care list & for those that need them and 🥂 to those on the Celebratory / Shout Out list. Have a great Thursday, everyone !!!!!! Stay safe & please don’t forget your 😷 when / where needed. 30 1

Fluff goes to the vet to get her sutures removed and then we have a break till Ninja goes on the 15th . I had an email from HAL overnight that will affect those of you on the October 8 sailing from Quebec( I disembark that day) The ship is now arriving at Pier 30. Guests with HAL transfer will be taken care of , independent travelers need to take note. Blessings and prayers to all on our lists. 🙏❤️
smitty34877 Posted September 1, 2022 #13 Share Posted September 1, 2022 A very Happy Birthday to @Cruzin Terri! I hope you feel better later and can enjoy going out with your DH. There are two ginger cats that frequent the back yard. The previous owner of the house had a small army of kitties that he fed and asked DD to continue this when they bought the house. We are here almost seven years and have lost three to old age. The four that I see daily from my window are very entertaining for the dogs and humans alike. Tofu is only eaten by two family members so it is only infrequently on the menu.We will pass on the recipe today but need to come up with something different for tonight. It is cooler here today so it will not be so hot in the kitchen. I look forward to pictures of the port and had to mention that I cracked up at the image of the painting party and wine yesterday. I also loved the meme @kazu, Jacqui had yesterday with the large dog being picked up after pooping. Too funny and thanks for the laughs. 21

Cat in my lap Posted September 1, 2022 #15 Share Posted September 1, 2022 @Cruzin Terri Happy birthday! I had a beautiful ginger cat - pre digital. We got biscotto in Rome when my DH volunteered at cat shelter in Largo Argentina. He was the biggest and nicest cat we ever had. 4966and556 Posted September 1, 2022 #17 Share Posted September 1, 2022 Thank you for the Daily Fleet Report! I've never had a ginger cat. I've heard that they spend a lot of time cleaning their paws. It's a lot cooler here in the mornings when I sit out on the patio with my dh while he has his coffee. This morning I needed a jacket.

Rare 0106 Posted September 1, 2022 #20 Share Posted September 1, 2022 While Debbie takes a break from painting to visit her sister and look for her forever home, I will be filling in. I am happy to start with today’s recipe, Roasted Cabbage Steaks with Crispy Chickpeas and Herby Croutons because I am mainly eat vegetables. One thing I struggle with is getting enough protein, so the chickpeas make this a perfect dish for me. Cabbage is not just for coleslaw and St. Patrick’s Day. Cabbage is very good for you. When roasted at high temperature, cabbage becomes sweet and incredibly satisfying. I really encourage you to give one of these roasted cabbage recipes a try. Wide cabbage 'steaks' create an irresistible base for crispy chickpeas and herby croutons, finished with rich lemony garlic mayonnaise. https://www.punchfork.com/recipe/Roasted-Cabbage-Steaks-Epicurious For an excellent side dish, try roasting the cabbage steaks and serving them with a mustard vinaigrette. https://www.fromachefskitchen.com/roasted-cabbage-steaks-mustard-vinaigrette/ This is an extremely easy side dish of roasted cabbage wedges with parmesan https://www.fromachefskitchen.com/parmesan-roasted-cabbage-wedges/ Finishing with the simplest and easiest recipe for roasting cabbage. https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/240800/roasted-cabbage/ 25
Cruzin Terri Posted September 1, 2022 #21 Share Posted September 1, 2022 Good morning everyone, Thank you to all for the lovely Birthday wishes. They make me feel better just by seeing them and put a smile to my face. I will say that I am starting to count backwards now for each birthday. LOL. Thank you to Rich for the Daily and Fleet Report and to Roy for the Cares and Cheers List. Prayers for all on both. I appreciate cats but do not own any. Don’t care for Tofu and if someone gave me a cherry pop over I would enjoy it. i like the quote. I think I will pass on the meal and the drink. I will see about the wine. I have not been to the destination, but would love to get there one day. We don’t have much planned for today. I am going to try to get myself in gear and go out for dinner tonight. There is a very nice restaurant near our house and I think we will go there. I finally got through the rest of yesterday’s posts this morning. I tried last night, but was so tired, that I just gave up and went to bed. I hope everyone has a great day. God Bless, Terri
StLouisCruisers Posted September 1, 2022 #22 Share Posted September 1, 2022 Rabbit, Rabbit, White Rabbit! Good morning friends. It was a pretty sunrise this morning since we didn't have fog, heavy cloud cover, or rain. First, happy birthday to Terri @Cruzin Terri. Hope today is a good one for you! 🎂 Thanks to Rich @richwmnfor the Daily and Fleet Report. I salute all the ginger cats out there. I would adore a cherry popover but can't say the same for tofu. No thank you to the menu suggestion though I will be interested in seeing how cabbage steaks come about. 😄 Thanks Roy @rafinmdfor the Care and Celebration lists. Prayers were said for all on the Care list as well as Ukraine citizens. Cheers to all on the Celebration list. Enjoy your fun on ships and in Hawaii. Annie @marshhawkit's September. Are you finished with the dog walking job now? Boca da Valeria, Brazil was port of the day on August 3, 2021, it was on page 44 of Rich's posting activity. Here is a link to save time if you'd like to post your photos from that date. I have not yet seen Boca da Valeria, but will this Nov. 29 on my Amazon Explorer cruise on Volendam. 🙏 Hoping all have a wonderful September 1st! 23
Rare ottahand7 Posted September 1, 2022 #23 Share Posted September 1, 2022 @Cruzin Terri Happy birthday! 🍾🎂 Thank you for the Daily Reports. I will pass on the cabbage. Looking forward to photos of the port in Brazil. I think it is on our itinerary for March 2023. Prayers for all on the care list and thanks Roy for compiling this. I am sitting in my wifi hotspot, my truck, with the heat on. 53 degrees but heading into the 80s. I will get an early start on the plant cut back. Yesterday DF cut back a hillside of 47 daylilies. I will rake them and John will haul them into the woods. Two gardens to go and it will be done. Have a wonderful day! 18

mamaofami Posted September 1, 2022 #25 Share Posted September 1, 2022 Good morning everyone. Sorry I haven’t posted in a while. The mornings have gotten very busy. Not a fan of the quote. We are supposed to complete ourselves, not to love someone because they complete us. Its been very hot here and we have had only one night of rain. I’ve been playing bingo Nate our club house and going to the pool. Two of my grandsons are back at college, both in New York State. One is at U of Rochester and the other at Bard College. I miss them already. Stay safe everyone, Carol
