For a while during the transition there was a limit of 3 drinks at bars during happy hour.  A hold over from when they would use coupons on cruises with too many Elites to fit in the lounge.  Soon after they went to unlimited drinks during the 2 hr happy hour and it's "loaded' on your seapass card.

Anyone know what brand of wines are being offered for Chardonnay, Cabernet or Merlot?  Assuming the Elegance for Chard and Cab. Like several of you, we are doing a casino cruise after having had AI on several cruises. The worst part will be we usually start our evening late. Will have to get ready early if we’re going to make the most of the cocktail hour. 🤣

I very much doubt that the Elegance chard and cab would be offered on the Elite Happy Hour menu. Those are in the "premium" category. Think "classic" wines. Probably Columbia Crest for the merlot, likely a Chilean chard or cab.

So did i get that right- no more Elite hours in the Sky Lounge on board M- and S- Class ships?

All bars except World Class bar participate in Elite Happy hour. You can still get drinks in  the Sky Lounge, but you are not served nibbles.

Hence the Sky Lounge is not so popular.

I have made a few lovely friends from the evening cocktail hours for Elite Plus, and will miss the opportunity from now on...So sad that this has been cancelled.

Was on Summit recently.  People are moving steadily to the Sky Lounge at 5pm more and more.  It was mostly full by the end of our cruise.  The difference is only no canapés and all can attend

You’re probably right. I just remember the bartenders pushing Elegance on our last couple cruises, but that’s when they had run out of other wines on the Premium package.

I think the "free" wines are what would be called house wines or bar call quality wines.  I am not a wine snob and only get the drink package if it works out to be a good deal $$ but I know these wines would go for less than $6-8 a bottle in a store at home.  Remember you can bring two of your favorite wines on board per person.  In the Casino, they ask if you have the drink package and serve you accordingly but it is a good place to get a free drink outside of Happy Hour if you don't have the packages.  If you are a good tipper or have some casino status you might cultivate a server that will take care of you.

The loyalty events also serve free drinks.

This is a casino cruise, so no perks. My husband will certainly be taking advantage of the free drinks when he plays. We will also be bringing on our allotted wine. I am a bit of a wine snob, but I’m sure we’ll have plenty of beverages. I do wish Celebrity would follow suit with Royal. On Royal, we get four drinks a day to use as we wish. But, so many other ways in which Celebrity is superior.

I don’t understand why people think that the only place to meet people was in the elite lounge.  You don’t need to be elite or elite plus to be able to meet passengers. ‘’’   We have meet people in the elite lounge and they became acquaintances during the cruise.  We never stayed in touch even though we reached out to them.

We made friends from sharing a table in the Spa Cafe.   They were looking for a table and I motioned to them to join us.   They live in another state.  We now visit them and they visit us and we [=constantly text.

We also met people waiting in line to board the ship.  We still keep in touch and have visited them.

All of the former 2 couples are elite plus but that didn’t have anything to do with us meeting.   Our status didn’t come up until we were off the cruise and discussing our future cruise plans and maybe cruising together.   We have also been able to cruise a few times together and that is how the status came up.  Even though we are elite plus the status doesn’t mean much as the cruise prices are almost pricing us out.

I don’t ever reveal my status to anyone.  It doesn’t matter.   I find it more amusing to pretend I am a first time cruiser and listen to their helpful tips. 🤗

Example was the first time In the Elite Lounge when it was the only place to get the HH drinks.  A couple sitting next to us asked if we cruised before????? 🙄🤷‍♂️

I said no.  This is our first cruise ever.    🤗.  Couldn’t believe all of the “helpful” hints they gave us.   They were all worthless. But still they meant well

Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Any list of wines is subject to change because they run out of wine, they stock different ones than what they originally thought they would have, there are supply chain issues. Many people have posted list of the premium wines available on their cruise, only to be told that they weren’t available on some other cruise.  A quick search of Cruise Critic should be able to bring up many posts where the premium wine lists are discussed. Your mileage may vary

Our last three or so cruises on Celebrity this has been a problem. There were enough Premium wines available that we did not totally regret the upgrade, but you certainly cannot count on it right now.  And, some bartenders are more willing to search than others.
