Celebrity Noobie, what to do during sea days??

Hi! I've been on several RCI cruises and there's always plenty of activities planned by staff to keep you busy during sea days. I was looking at trying out the Apex next spring but I can't really find much info. in the way of sea day activities. Of course I'm sure there are things like casino, pools, gyms, food and drink but I'm wondering if there are planned activities for all ages to keep you busy. Or is the culture of cruising Celebrity more lounging and laid back than Royal?  If anyone has experiences with both RCI and Celebrity can you please shed some light on similarities and differences of daytime activities between the 2 lines?  Cheers and happy sailing!

Will your ship have Starlink by the time you sail?  lol.  If sitting on the pool deck drinking or the casino isn't your thing, you can join MANY others with a book/tablet or various card/board games.

Lectures, trivia, dance lessons, golf challenge, archery, pool volleyball, wine tastings, Deal or No Deal, line dancing at pool, art classes, and movies come to mind.

The issues are, things like archery are scheduled for an hour but only lasted maybe 15mins on my most recent sailing.  I've really enjoyed the lectures but they're replayed 24/7 on the stateroom TV so it isn't a big deal if one misses it.  X is a relaxed cruise and that's okay, simply pointing out you often need to create your own entertainment

What type of activities did you enjoy RCI that seem to be missing during your research?  Give some examples.

Typical sea day for us begins with a light breakfast on the balcony.  I read the planner to DH because he's a romantic and loves to hear my voice. Then we put on some pool attire and head to the solarium for a bit.  While there, DH may open his laptop and I'll read a book.  After an inevitable pina colada (or 2) induced nap, we will collect our things and swing by the soft serve machine to get a cone to eat on our way to the Persian Gardens for a steam.  Later we will return to our stateroom for a "nooner" perhaps, shower, and get ready for the 3 PM whatever (Dance class, wine tasting, lecture).  Afterward, I'll play a little bit in the casino while DH watches whatever sports is playing on the television above the bar.  He'll bring me a drink while I play and check in on my winnings.  We'll then stroll around the shops and seek out some live music or bar fly in the martini bar.  At 7 we'll head to the theater for the show and afterward, we'll go to dinner.  Following dinner we will likely go back to the casino for a whirl before heading back to our stateroom.  I'll stream some pandora on my phone and we'll slow dance on our balcony to Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen.  We'll each get lost in our own thoughts while gazing at the water.  I'm usually thinking something like, wow, I'd really hate to fall overboard...who would see me... and he's likely thinking, I could go for another nooner...We muse about how blessed we are to be on another cruise and then call it a day.  Don't even get me started on two sea days in a row...

Thee is so much planned you could never participate in it all.   Would recommend getting the Celebrity App and select a current sailing  -  Go to Daily Planner (this is what is also posted daily in the newsletter)    UNFILTER  TO ALL.    The default is Recommended activities.

It is usually only populated near cruise date.

We really enjoy Celebrity. It is absolutely more laid back. I wish they did offer more activities and games other then trivia and napkin folding during the day though.

We always join the Roll Call and find other cruisers who play cards and board games. Thats something we really enjoy and have made many friendships over the years.
