Let’s talk about Allure’s Suite Sun Deck

Yes.   Been on her 3 times.   It’s your standard Oasis-class (pre-Wonder) suite sun deck.

Has a bar and dedicated restrooms.   No hot tub like Symphony and Harmony.

IMO, Allure has the best of the suite sun decks, hasn’t been ruined by water slides / steps going above the main seating area.

In typical Royal fashion, the “gates” to the sun deck don’t work correctly and they haven’t been fixed in the last 18 months.   Basically, anyone can get in without a key, and staff won’t eject non-suite paying customers.   That’s the only negative to the Suite Sun Deck experience.

We loved the Allure Suite Deck. Yes, there is a bar and waiters walking around. It's a very peaceful place to hang out.

The gates didn't always work, as mentioned above, but for us it was more that they didn't open, not that they were letting everyone in. It would take several attempts sometimes to get the gate to open. We were on Allure in May. The deck was never very busy.

We haven't been in the last 18 months more like 30 months.  There was a bar and my complaint was it didn't open early enough especially on port days (we seldom got off).  Seems like on port days it didn't open until 3:00 PM.  Not a big deal just walked down to the pool bar.  Servers did walk around but it's not really necessary it's a short walk to the suite sun deck bar.

We just returned from the Wonder staying in an OS.  I much prefer the layout on Allure and Oasis.  We spent every day on the Wonder suite sun deck and I can tell you it's not my fav for layout.  It faces the back of the ship directly over the sports deck.  Not a great view compared to Allure and Oasis.  Plus, lots of noise from sports stuff and the music from sports deck competed with music on sun deck.  We did love the "Suite Neighbor" concept.  On Allure and Oasis the OS were some walk to sun deck and SL/CK.  On Wonder we were steps from sun deck and one deck down to SL/CK.  The hot tub/splash pool on Wonder was nice, but not a deal breaker.  Water in both were hot and not refreshing.  The sun deck would be a lot easier to secure from non-suite guests, but they didn't police it.  The bar served everybody no matter and the doors from the hallway to sun deck were most left open.  There's only inside access to suite sun deck via the cabin hallways.  This could have been partly due to a lot of people who had been moved from the Harmony and downgraded from GS to JS still got suite amenities.  Once that all washes out it might be different.

Bottom line we much prefer the layout on Oasis and Allure sun decks to the "new" layout.

Sun deck is just to far from the pool . For suite perks book celebrity edge class or MSc yacht club and get a nice pool and bar and restaurant and hot tubs.

Agreed, we have debated trying an MSC cruise but haven't yet.

You’ve also left out the NCL Haven, the original gold standard in “ship within a ship” suite setups. We haven’t tried the Celebrity Retreat or the MSC Yacht club yet, but the Haven puts the Royal suites to shame (same with Disney’s concierge class). We still do Royal’s suites for something different, though. It’s still certainly enjoyable!

Pinnacles are allowed on the Suites Sun Deck, and in September the gates on the Allure were working.  I love that area.  The recessed areas  at the "corners" are really nice:  catch a breeze, but in the shade.

Yes, none of Oasis either- the Harmony has one!  But the suite decks are so much better!  However, IMO they cannot beat the Celebrity Edge series Suite Decks.

Loved the Retreat sun deck on the Celebrity Apex. Will be missing that level of suite experience on the Allure.

The suite deck on the Allure is nice.  They have a very good bar, comfortable sun and shade seating- also cabanas- I think four- free, first come basis.  While not like the Edge decks- better then the M and S class suite decks on Celebrity ships.  They also have a costal kitchen and suite lounge on the Oasis class Royal ships.

Enjoy your cruise.

Then they have some even more private areas to enjoy...

And a nice shower to rinse off with along with towels (located next to bar area)

And the views are great. Can't speak to doors not working since I used them to get in but honestly, DH was so impressed with this space alone he feels like between this and CK suites are worth the price to feel a little less "crowded" and a little more pampered. Enjoy!
