Bottled water?

Am I correct that bottled water isn't included in either the Classic or Premium beverage packages?  I see there's a "zero" package with different waters,  but having to purchase two packages seems pretty pricey.

Water is included in the CBP and the PBP.

you do get water but comes in a can. Can''t recap to carry with you. Who was the genius that made this decision? I guess the plastic police.

At first it was weird drinking water from a can.  But you get used to it.

NOT TRUE. It comes in an aluminum BOTTLE with a screw cap. Some people have problems with opening them. Not sure why you think it comes in a can.

Classic has the basic water in the aluminum bottle with the screw cap.  Be careful with the cap they can be sharp.   Premium package you can get premium bottled water in glass bottles.

Little known fact: if you screw the cap in the opposite direction as opening (clockwise), the bottle can be closed.

Reflection in August/Sept. had pop-top water cans (can't be closed once opened), as did the Constellation's TA. Perhaps only European cruises have pop-top water, but it's a thing.

Thanks for all the responses.  A couple more questions:  is there a cost savings to booking a beverage package before a sailing?  Also, it it possible to upgrade the Classic pkg. that comes with All Included to the Premium?

Yes the beverage packages are generally discounted in the online cruise planner. To upgrade to premium, you need to call Celebrity.

We were on the Connie TA this Fall, and yes, the water was in a can with a pop top.  Made in Italy, so maybe it depends on where your cruise goes and gets supplied.  We took a few water bottles on board and filled them with the canned water as needed, especially for port stops.

Also not true.  Cartons (like milk cartons) have also been used

We had the aluminium bottles on Silhouette last Feb out of Fort Lauderdale, but aluminium cans on the Reflection in August out of Rome. All depends on the supplier in the region.
