Izena Posted December 22, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 22, 2022 Good morning everyone. Jenny glad you are getting organized and motivated. The beginning is the hardest - developing a plan that will keep you motivated and sticking with it. Jan glad you had a good trip. I decided not to weigh until the first of January. Still walking 3-5 miles a day. Getting ready for our first hard freeze tomorrow - then will be back into 60’s next week. picked up a small stray dog yesterday — he was running around inside Kroger. He’s friendly, area not safe for loose dog and freeze tonight - I had no choice but bring him home - Jazzper doesn’t like him. Hopefully I will find his owner.
Jan_In_Maine Posted December 22, 2022 #2 Share Posted December 22, 2022 I weighed myself this morning (my rings were very tight, so know there is extra water weight) I stayed the same from before our cruise, so I am happy. We did a lot of walking and after a few days or so, I wasn't really interested in food. The serving sizes are way to big. Hope everyone is doing well. Izena - That is wonderful on the walking, I really need to walk more at home!!! Jan
Izena Posted December 23, 2022 Author #3 Share Posted December 23, 2022 The stray is back home - good for me Jazzper didn’t like him and my son was allergic. Bad for him think owner is a hoarder or bad housekeeper - you woman at 330 pm had on house coat and barefoot squeezed out of front door . 2 of us went to the house to return dog. Owner did say she was going to surrender dog after holidays - I provided her and rescue willing to take the dog each other’s contact information best I could do. it is currently 17 degrees outside with windchill of 3. Very windy 🥶. No long walks for me everyone stay safe. Enjoy the holiday weekend eat what you want - then Monday get back on track.
retiring soon Posted December 23, 2022 #4 Share Posted December 23, 2022 HI all! I haven't checked in for a few weeks but have been weighing & reading. I'm up 0.6 from the beginning of the month & wish I had the determination to lose weight before my January 27th cruise. I'm on the list for a knee replacement next year & the doctor wants me to lose some weight. I asked him for advice & he said if it tastes good, spit it out! Belle ~ hope you're having a great time on your cruises, winning big & keeping the weight off. Jan ~ good going not gaining on a cruise! Which line did you sail on? Izena ~ glad you found the stray's home. Wow, you sure do a lot of walking! There's bad weather in the forecast here & the winds are picking up. So far it's just raining & right around the freezing mark. Merry Christmas, have a nice weekend & stay safe. ~ Jo ~😊

retiring soon Posted December 27, 2022 #9 Share Posted December 27, 2022 Hi all! We had a different Christmas, just the 2 of us & a big ham. At 6:30 pm the power went out & didn't come back 'til 1:00 am today! Luckily we have a propane furnace & stove so were reasonably warm & fed. We also have a little generator for the really important things, like internet & tv, lol!! Just a month 'til my next cruise, which I'm really looking forward to. Have a great day & stay safe. ~ Jo ~ 😊
Cruiser_1977 Posted December 28, 2022 #10 Share Posted December 28, 2022 Still plugging along. No weight gain over Christmas. Joined a fitness/nutrition challenge that starts on January 16th. So, that should provide another layer of accountability for me 🙂 Hope you are all enjoying the holidays!
