Imo reason to book concierge class is the extra points you get.  Otherwise if not important, I agree regular balcony cabin and a few dinners at specialty restaurants

Maybe if you're close to getting to Elite. Otherwise after Elite + it's rather POINTLESS chasing points.

The reason why I asking about whether I can order something in blu that is served in the MDR menu is because I really don't care for what is on the menu at Blu some nights.

They have done away with the 'everyday favourites' like the chicken breast, French Onion soup, etc. THAT SAID, there is an alternative menu every day that features 'healthier' options (their quotes, not mine - I ordered steak of that menu at least once.). They had made this change when we sailed at the beginning of January and pretty much everything was covered between the daily Blu right page menu and the healthy options on the left side of the page.

Remember that you can have breakfast in Blu, too.

May I ask, why do you book Aqua, if you don't like the food in the restaurant?

Aqua class was given to me as the best casino offer for us.  The menu's have changed, they used to be very good and they took away many good items, but this is expected in these days.  Same goes with the MDR's but some days I prefer what is offered in the dining room over Blu.

The casino offer?  How does that work?  You pay a discounted rate to upgrade?  So if an upgrade is usually $5,000 instead you pay $3,000?

I don't know it was offered to me, I only paid $678.46 and for an upgrade on the wi fi and premium drinks.  I also got shipboard credit of $600 and tips included too.

We sailed on Equinox in early January in AQ and dined in BLU.  The waiters both told us each night we could select appetizers from the MDR & even entrees or desserts. They offered that information without being asked.  Although we didn’t opt for that every evening, we did order the onion soup several times, the Crème Brûlée, Shrimp Appetizer (get a double order because it’s now only 3 small shrimp) and maybe one entree during the 10-day cruise.  It was very nice to have that option and having the menu on the app made it easy to check what was on the MDR menu. Loved having the app!

Thank you for this!!  Now, I am very excited to dine in Blu each evening knowing this, thank you.

Hello,

We are booked for the Beyond in March, and decided to try aqua class.  We have a few questions if you can please help it be greatly appreciated!

We probably not going to use the spa, don't ask me why I chose aqua class but it was a casino special upgrade.

Where do we go to book Blu for dinner when we board the ship as aqua class guests?

Does anybody know if dining in Blu if I can request something that is on one of the main dining room menus that evening?

Does Blu with advance notice take special requests, I love my meat is it possible to ask for a rib eye or similar steak even if it is not on the menu?

Just curious, does aqua class board before concierge class?

We really appreciate your help and than you very much.

1.  Just show up and you will be seated (or have a very short wait)

2. No you cannot on Apex, however you can eat in the MDR on any night

3. No substitutions such as you mention. No special requests without prior notice and approval

For us the biggest reason for Blu is to avoid the main dining room at all costs.  We were recently on the equinox and the infinity.  Their MDRs are food halls...not dining rooms.  Noisy and crowded and not for us anymore.  So we need to pay up for some order and serenity.

As someone who will be doing his first sailing on Celebrity in June, that is the EXACT reason I chose Aqua Class.  I wanted to get away from the masses and enjoy meals in a more upscale environment.  I'm not happy with their menu, but as long as I can choose from the MDR menu, which I understand on Summit you can, then I assume I am going to be a happy camper.

Husband and I have sailed mostly on Royal Caribbean, but have done 2 cruises with Celebrity. (2018, and 2019)

I don't gamble much, usually throw a few bucks in a slot machine or play Roullette, (if my numbers seem to be hitting) Usually, no more that $100 for the whole cruise.  So, I am officially at the PEARL level, which is the lowest level.

My husband and I both received BLUE CHIP offers months ago, (and ongoing) for free 7 night cruise in a Veranda stateroom.  Just pay the Port Fees.  Since we loved our Aqua Suite room and amenities on the Constellation, I called and asked if we could upgrade to Aqua Suite.  They said yes!

So, for my cruise, which does not include liquor, gratuities or wifi, we are all in at $418 for the week.

We are Diamond on Royal Caribbean, so we are Elite on Celebrity.

So, we will get free drinks from 5-7pm each day. We will get a discount on wifi, and of course we will pay for the gratuities. We can also bring 2 bottles of wine per person. So, we are all set.

Our airfare actually cost more than the cruise (JFK to LAX).

I will make sure I gamble a little bit, so we can keep getting these great offers!

Yes, I think the original intent of Blu was to offer a more spa like cuisine...but alas, I still managed to gain a pound or two when we tried Aqua...

You have the choice of the Spa items on the menu, but the ones not designated as Spa, well, all bets are off.

I kind of wish they would offer keto / low carb choices.  I can always find some, but knowing what dishes are would help.

I wasn't implying that if you're in Aquaclass that you should desire wanting to eat at one of the MDRs, especially on E-Class ships. We done it many a time. I was directing my comments to people who say that they don't particularly like Blu AND they don't really like using the thermal suite; if that's the case, why would you pay more to book AQ?

i had a large credit and went for a more expensive experience to try it.
