rwilk1129 Posted March 5, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 5, 2023 What is the Ocean Casino Cove on Caribbean Princess? On deck plan it is on Deck 7 aft by Club Fusion I think. Any chance they are making a small smoking casino there and making the Grand Casino non smoking?

That would be wonderful but more likely the cove will be the non smoking one like they have on Carnival.

Rare Lady Arwen Posted March 5, 2023 #5 Share Posted March 5, 2023 I think that’s great news. At least it’s a start in the right direction and shows that Princess is making an effort.
Steelers36 Posted March 5, 2023 #6 Share Posted March 5, 2023 (edited) I see it as a minor change and them hoping it quiets the quell for no smoking. Why don't they just capitulate and ban smoking altogether? Edited March 5, 2023 by Steelers36 3
phabric Posted March 5, 2023 #7 Share Posted March 5, 2023 (edited) Across from Club Fusion on deck 7, there are 3 large screen for the digital casino games and 3 stools, I believe that is Ocean Casino Cove. I never saw anybody there on my recent 10 days Caribbean Princess cruise. Edited March 5, 2023 by phabric

Only 3....🤔
Rare azbirdmom Posted March 5, 2023 #11 Share Posted March 5, 2023 That area was on the map in the Atlas that was printed over a year ago so it's nothing new coming. All I saw was some screens but I don't recall anyone playing there.

Rare Rick&Jeannie Posted March 5, 2023 #13 Share Posted March 5, 2023 We just got off the Caribbean P last week. This is a very strange usage of real estate! It is literally a "fenced-off" corner along the main passageway (one small opening into this area) which I would estimate to be about 50 square feet in area. There are a couple of casino-style stools pulled up to 2 or 3 wall display panels where you can play some digital versions of casino games. These appear to be the same type of panels that you see next to all the elevators...but seemingly dedicated to casino games. We passed by that area 2 or 3 times a day...NEVER saw anybody sitting there or even *in* the area! It's just WAY too obvious and exposed to passersby if anyone was actually playing anything. No thanks...I'll do my money giveaway to the Casino Dept. in the "privacy" of the actual casino, where everybody is contributing to the casino coffers!
Rare cr8tiv1 Posted March 5, 2023 #14 Share Posted March 5, 2023 Is this the area that used to have a curved sofa and railing? It was a go to place for me on some Grand Class ships. Hidden, but in plain view.

Way too small...perhaps room for as many as 10 people to *literally* stand shoulder to shoulder or 4 fair sized chairs. As I stated above...maybe 50 sq feet total. This was just somebody's idea how to use some wasted space.
