j3000 Posted March 7, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 7, 2023 I see the policy is you can bring (up to) 2 bottles of wine onboard. Do they automatically charge you the $25 corkage fee if you do, OR only if you bring them into the dining room? (hic!)
RTShaker Posted March 7, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 7, 2023 I believe it is only charged in a dining venue and then only if you don't have a beverage package.
kathynorth Posted March 7, 2023 #3 Share Posted March 7, 2023 (edited) At current it’s 2 bottles pp of drinking age. No charge if the bottle stays in your cabin. You can fill your glass in your cabin and bring it with wherever you want, even into a dining room. As mentioned above, no corkage fee if you have a drink package and you bring a bottle into the dining room. No corkage fee if you have a beverage package when bringing the bottle(s) into a dining venue or bar. Corkage fee may be charged if you don't have a beverage package in the dining venue or bar. j3000 Posted March 7, 2023 Author #7 Share Posted March 7, 2023 UPDATE: please clarify we're doing just a 4-night trip. Is it still 2 bottles per person, on a 4-nighter?

George C Posted March 7, 2023 #9 Share Posted March 7, 2023 As said it’s 2 bottles per person, no corkage if you drink it in cabin or if you have a drink package, in same document as luggage tags it says that but we were hassled a little we will bring the doc with us saying it’s 2 bottles Per person. Rare NutsAboutGolf Posted March 7, 2023 #10 Share Posted March 7, 2023 Technically you can bring as many bottle as you want as you get the excess back on the last night
Arizona Wildcat Posted March 7, 2023 #11 Share Posted March 7, 2023 Suggest the OP go to the FAQ on the Celebrity website. There is no corkage fee if one has a beverage package. If one does not you may have a corkage fee when you bring on board. Wine definitely needs to be carried on as putting it in your checked luggage usually results in a delay getting your stuff to verify the contents in the "naughty room."

We also always take wine but almost always had to pay the 25 corkage fee , only time we didn’t sommelier in Luminae had asked if he could taste our wine . Loved bringing on 4 bottles on last cruise. Haven’t been charged corkage on rccl in at least a decade.
dacrow Posted March 8, 2023 #19 Share Posted March 8, 2023 When bringing wine to dinner onboard, how do you actually do it? Do you bring it to the dining room before dinner and then they present it to you? Do you just carry it in with you and place it on the table? Do you let them know when you check-in that you're bringing wine or just let your waiter or sommelier know? I'm curious about the best / proper way to do this. sunonfire Posted March 9, 2023 #23 Share Posted March 9, 2023 Instead of bottles can you bring a boxed wine equal to the 4 750 ml bottles? A box of wine would be a lot lighter to carry than 4 bottles.
