Whole pizzas on room service menu

We are currently on the Royal and just noticed that the whole pizzas delivered to you room are now showing as complimentary, when it used to be a $3 charge.  While the $3 never bothered me, this is a step in the right direction and the opposite of what some of the other cruiselines are doing.  
Or maybe it is a temporary glitch in the system???

 They are 5 pizzas to choose from 

Vegetarian 

Margherita 

Pepperoni 

Capricciosa

Romana 

 

There is no place in the app to adjust your toppings .. just pick one of the five available options.  You can get different sprinkles including oregano, pepper flakes and grated Parmesan on the side in little ramekins.

what comes on the Cadbury Chiozza in the Romania

We are on the Sapphire and ordered room service pizza a few nights ago, we were charged the $3.  Pizza was as good as the pizza in Alfredo's.

They are delicious!  We always order them a few times each cruise.  
the capriccio has artichoke hearts, ,mushrooms, ham, Kalamata olives and basil  

the romana has anchovies, olives, capers and basil 

The vegetariana has avocados, sun dried tomatoes, Roma tomatoes, red onions, bell peppers and mushrooms

That's where they come from. Agree they are good

Last summer on Royal we were not charged. We were in a suite, that may be the reason, never thought about it.

Not on the Sapphire, they come from the Bell Box (room service) kitchen.

There is no Alfredo’s on the Emerald. Ordered one no charge and no taste   Crust as soggy as can be.  Look forward to the Discovery in June with an actual pizza place

Was on the Royal last week in a regular balcony.  Ordered a Capricciosa delivered to the cabin.   Very good pizza - and no charge.

Many ships don't have an Alfredo's. On those ships the pizza you get is what is served on Lido deck which is definitely not the same quality as Alfredo's.

I wonder if it depends if you order through the app or by phone? App is set with charges?

Last week on the Royal I used the app and no charges were shown during the ordering process.   Also no charges showed up on my folio.

We actually love the Lido deck pizza; especially if you get it right out of the oven!

We were on Sky in Feb in a balcony and ordered the last night. No charge. Thought maybe it was because it was the last night of the cruise.

I understand that of the last Hawaiian cruise on the Royal, there are no  longer charges.  Whether or not this will last remains to be seen.  But, the pizza is fabulous!

here on the Royal, there is also an Alfredo’s.  It probably did come from there as the one in charge of Alfredo’s noted that the pizzas were complimentary as of the last Hawaiian cruise back in the middle of the month.

This is very good news! 
 

It would be lovely to know we can get pizza without the charge.

 

The buns for the burgers are often soggy by the time they come to the room so pizza would be much better!
