Yes! Benefits for the rest of the cruise.

As soon as you reach the required points go to the CC desk on-board the ship. They will take care of you.

this is not so. You have to wait until the start of the next cruise

If you reach elite in the first few days of cruise, can you get Elite benefits for rest of cruise or does it not take effect until you go on another cruise? I've looked at all the FAQ but couldn't find an answer.

No, not until the next cruise

My experience has been that the points aren't accrued and applied until the end of the cruise in which you received.   Thus you would not be upgraded until the end of the cruise you earned them on.

This happened to me when I hit Zenith.   Wasn't able to be upgraded until I completed the cruise.

If you reach a level during a B2B you can go to the CC Concierge after the sailing where it is reached and they will update you for the subsequent sailing.  You don't get it for the remainder of the first sailing where you reached the new level.

Maybe the stars aligned or the 1st leg of the B2B was when we hit the points allowing the 2nd leg to be upgraded. Either way I enjoyed the bag of laundry.

Sorry if I got your hopes up for naught.

Well yes, but you earned the points on the first cruise so you got the new status on the second one.  Normally it takes about a week to ten days for the new status to register but the Captains Club host can speed that up in the case of a back to back they can get it done in time for the second cruise.

What doesn’t happen is this……if you are on a ten day cruise and you acquire sufficient point for the new level on the fifth day, you don’t get the new level during that cruise.  The new level will come on your next cruise.

Answers are always found in the Details.
