What time are staterooms usually ready?

You board at your assigned time (from checking in on line 45 days prior). Go straight to your cabin & get your seapass card (it’s on the door) & put your carry on bag in the cabin (put your valuables in your safe). Then go explore the ship. The cabins will be ready usually around 1-1:30

Actually you check in at your assigned time.  Boarding is not done until the ship has been cleared by Customs and then it is B2B cruisers, Suites/Zenith's. Key, and then general boarding.  There is never an assigned boarding time.

Unless something unusual causes a delay, when you go at your assigned check-in window you check in and then can board the ship. We have had assigned check in times of 11 and 11:30 and have boarded the ship immediately after check in.

That is one of the best parts for assigned time no large crowd of people or long lines to check in.

Key?  What is that?

They always say the cabins will be ready around 1p, but it's typically between 1-1:30p.  The luggage coming is hit or miss.  FYI: They have to move a lot of luggage around.  Sometimes ours has been there when we got to the room, sometimes part of it, sometimes not until later in the afternoon.  We've been very lucky and never lost any luggage.

So, if there's anything you really need (swimsuit, other clothes, etc.) it's a good idea to bring along a roll aboard bag with some stuff in it.  When the rooms are open you can dump it in the room.

We always bring a couple extra days of clothes in our small roll aboard suitcases just in case our luggage gets lost somewhere.  It's not much trouble dragging them around the airports and onto the ship.

You're going to love cruising.  It is very amazing and very addicting.  Like no other vacation.  Be sure to call or visit the Captain's Club people before or after the cruise to get signed up.  You will want to start accumulating points.

Don't miss any of the wonder.  Explore the ship, watch the ocean, be outside at night, do all the things, take some down time, it's incredible.

Thanks everyone for your replies! We are platinum on Carnival and can go straight to cabins to drop off luggage but prior to platinum couldn’t go back until 1 or 1:30ish. Great to hear we can go drop our bags off.  I didn’t finish my thought in my OP and meant to say 1st time on Celebrity so I appreciate everyone’s input.  We signed up for the Captain’s Club by phone and can’t wait to experience Celebrity.  Tons of Carnival, 1 RC and we decided to treat ourselves to a new brand and fairly new ship in the Mediterranean. This board has been so valuable helping us plan this cruise vacay, so thanks to everyone not just for taking the time to respond to this post but the many daily posts by others on different topics.
