Thanks - hopefully those will be included on SUN Princess, while retaining Crooners, Vines and the Crown Grill.  Didn't see prices for the Irish Pub - maybe something along the lines of the pricing for Salty Dog?

I don't think The Vines made the cut on the Sun, alas.

Don’t question Padgett’s amazing marketing prowess. He probably thinks they are the top burger stand in the world and will cause millennials to flock to Princess. Just like the graffiti he put on the side of the Enchanted…

If the cover charge was like $5-10 it would make sense but $12+ is out or range for that kind for food on the ship. Maybe if the line was super long at the grill I would run to this but still.

Well, what's the current cover charge for Johnny Rockets on RCCL?

Witness all the people who book specialty dining even though they have already paid for dinner in the main dining room.

But in the Crown Grill, you can get filet mignon.  All you get in the MDR is beef tenderloin ... 🤣

So now that the space that houses Vines on some ships, but now houses the Salty Dog on some ships, but will soon become the home of O'Malley's on some ships, can we start a new argument...er...discussion as to whether it is acceptable to occupy seats at O'Malley's if you aren't ordering food and drink from that venue.  Pretty Please!!??

Actually you can order entrees from Crown Grill in MDR these days. Of course there is an additional charge to do so.

That change indicates to me that there is not enough clientele for the Crown Grill to keep the Crown Grill chefs busy.

Nope, it's Beef Filet Wellington. 🧐

That's just one of the beef tenderloin presentations and it's usually on a Formal night (used to be on Lobster night.)  It is also usually on the menu for lunch in the MDR on turnaround days

Yup, often there is beef tenderloin on the MDR menu, along with the surcharged 6oz Filet Mignon ... go figure!

Oops, you're right. 😳

Well, my last MDR Beef (Tenderloin) Wellington on the Regal Princess was much better than the $$ Filet Mignon at the Crown Grill.

A cover charge of 0 for Johnny Rockets would be over paying!

Sure.   But, they've had Johnny Rockets for decades, so someone enjoys it & is willing to pay the surcharge.    Not everyone is interested in every extra charge item, of course (we're not fans of the casino).    My point is that it's not unheard of in the industry to have an upcharge casual dining restaurant.

So do we think Princess will have the website and the app updated with the new venues and deck plans before people board Enchanted on Saturday?

PS - She is already out of dry dock and on the way to Barcelona.image.thumb.png.b546b5869f8802d8d92e612147ef9112.png

We have a reservation at SLM on Majestic for our upcoming Alaska cruise the end of May. I'm guessing we should hear something telling us we're cancelled. We'd be willing to give the new place a try if our reservation was lateralled over to same date and time, but if we're expected to fight among the masses to get another spot then we'll just skip it all together. 🤣

I'm on Discovery in just a few weeks to Alaska. Looks like the change isn't officially happening until the fall so I don't think it'll affect us, but I wonder how much time it takes to flip the restaurants over? I assume there will be at least some new paint, tiles, counter tops, etc. I hope there isn't a lot of noise or construction for guests to deal with. It looks like one of the ships will be in a dry dock, but will the others be flipped when guests are on board? On Discovery it looks like the outside of the Bistro is one of the only few promenade spaces accessible to guests.

Well, this will be interesting.  We’re boarding the Enchanted on the 21st and will be very curious about all these changes.  An Irish pub on a Mediterranean cruise doesn’t really appeal to us.  We enjoy seafood and depending on the menu, we may try The Catch.  We always enjoy Sabatinis and hope that the new venue on deck 7 isn’t a disappointment.

Thanks Eric.  Nice to see 8 pumps there instead of the usual 2!  That music is a tad loud to be on the edge of the Piazza though - wouldn't it conflict with the main floor entertainment?

Was thinking same thing with the music but maybe louder because was embarcation day. I’ve ask him to send me pics of the menu for the prices as well.
