Good morning Dailyites.

As Lenda stated it is a beautiful and calm morning so far. Normally the windchimes are tinkling away but I only hear the little one now.

Thank you to all the contributors who make this Daily happen. Congratulations to Ren and team! Beautiful photos and many thanks for posting them. Vanessa please take care! Ouch. Jacqui I hope Ivan is a gentle giant. Prayers,  prayers and more prayers sent to all on our cares list.

Last night was cool, so sat near the fireplace and ate our salad and pizza before starting games. Not much of anything that needs attention today, so may go to the nursery and find some plants I can't live without.

I am not a jazz fan. We went for dinner several years ago and during our appetizer a jazz band started playing. I don't recall what I ate but sure remember the band.

Don't forget ya'll to wake up to the "rabbit" tomorrow. Blessings!

@richwmn, I always enjoy seeing your screen name when you post.  I pretend it’s short for “ rich women “.  it brings a smile to my face.   I appreciate the content you provide as well, of course!  Glad you have recovered your health

I don't quite fit either part of that description and as far as I know my health is fine.

Good Morning Everyone

Yay the big day is here, leaving to the cruise terminal in a couple hours.  Well the cats figured it out.  The big fluffy one got inside my suitcase, got hair on everything and shredded the lining.  No good kitty treats this morning.

Since we have 5 going and it's our anniversary I ordered a big limo for fun.  Got a call that woke me up, the limo had a bo bo last night and won't be coming  oh well.  Couldn't fall back asleep

I can't like that post!  A limo that's not showing up and a cat seeking revenge on your suitcase!  I hope your cruise is better than the last 24 hours!😾

It’s a nasty day. All outer decks closed as well as the veranda windows being locked. BFF is napping and I’m catching up on Cruise Critic.

Vanessa at least you're not in port with that type of weather.  Fingers crossed the port days are sunny and warm.  How's the knee pain?

Going back to my photos for the photo book now!

We were in Eidfjord twice last summer.  We did back to back Norwegian cruises.  Eidfjord was on the first itinerary, but not the second.  The itinerary kept changing for the second week and two days before, Eidfjord showed up.  We were thrilled.  It is a cute little fjord town and we really enjoyed our time there.

The first day was warm and sunny.  We did the Troll Train and then after lunch and ice cream, we did the RIB adventure.

Sue and I were checking out the real estate in Eidfjord.  She thought this would be great because she could fish from the house for our dinner.

You get a different perspective when you are down close to the water.  It was fun doing donuts on the fjord.

You can also get up close and personal.

Nice photos Debbie.

Lovely family pictures.

We were in Eidfjord five days ago while on the Zuiderdam.  We took the waterfalls and waffle excursion offered by HAL.  The Vøringsfossen Waterfalls were beautiful, but everyone had to be careful walking to the viewpoints because of the snow and ice.

On August 8, 2016, the Prinsendam and Captain Tim Roberts took us to Eidfjord.

We took the tourist train which took us to an overlook above the town where we had a good view of the Prinsendam.

Good morning everyone. My grandson and his sweet girlfriend slept over last night and we had a wonderful visit. They are heading back to college. My DH, Sam, is thankfully better and no more pneumonia.

Stay safe everyone,

Carol

@StLouisCruisersSandy, what program do you use to make your scrapbooks?

Shutterfly.  I hope they've corrected some of their so-called updated processes.  But one thing they didn't bring back yet is already causing me grief.  The photos are lined up in a strip at the bottom of the page and you can scroll through them but when you hold your cursor over one it should pop up in a larger box so you can look at it plainly.  It doesn't and the little thumbnail photos in the strip are too tiny to view well.  So I'm going through my photos where I have them stored (an "album" with every photo taken on that trip) and the ones I like best I'm marking them with a red heart.  Then I can figure out which ones I want in the book.  What are they thinking?  I'd offer my advice to them but I doubt anything would be done.  Sort of like HAL's website!

My neighbor is home from church and the rain has stopped.  He drove the SUV onto the trailer and is figuring out how to chain it properly now.  I ran out and took some photos to show you.  The trailer behind the motorcoach is actually 25' long with the hitch so a total of 68' long.  I wish them well and hope they get home safely in October.

Good morning all!

I'm running late, another night of lying awake.  This time it was 1 1/2 hours, not 3 hrs. like last time, but still made it a later than usual start to my day.  And after looking at the weather forecast, I'm still changing what clothes I'm bringing....sigh.  You'd think a little 5-day cruise would be easier, but since we're both just bringing a carry-on, it's a little harder.  Even though it's just a 5-day, we'll have a dressy night and an Orange Party too.

Vanessa @JazzyVI'm SO sorry about your fall!  Rest up and heal.  So glad it was "only" bruises, but that can be very painful.

I'll try to check in, hopefully send some photos.  All will depend on the internet.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning. Late this morning, but no reason except I am just very slow today for some reason.

Love all the pictures from Norway. I saw so little of it that I need to go back. And thanks for the Benchley quote. I remember Mom reading his books and articles to me and my Sister when I was young (and he was still alive)  and the three of us laughing so hard we were crying. Those reading are  probably responsible for my weird sense of humor.

Hope everyone is well or on the way to healing today. @JazzyVI have taken a fall doing the same thing. I always have to remind myself to watch my feet around steps, entrances and in general. Glad you were not seriously hurt although banged up knees can give you problems walking for awhile.

Susan

I'm joining the missed a step group a little late --- going out of BB Kings in February, I missed a step & went down....lots of "are you ok's?" --  swollen & bruised area below my knee that took maybe 2 weeks to resolve.

The one we did was a 14 day Best of Norway.  It was two 7 day cruises put together - Norse Legends and Viking Sagas.   The Voyage of the Midnight Sun hits some coastal towns and some fjord towns as well as Honningsvag at the northern tip of Norway.
