dining solo in specialty restaurants

am traveling solo and am curious about dining solo in steakhouse- is it for couples or families- only?

I go solo to the Steakhouse and the other restaurants alone every cruise.  It isn't really awkward at all.

Solo last week..  Jijis. Steakhouse. Italian and Teppanyaki..  all fabulous experiences

I also dine solo. Been to most all pay restaurants except the Italian. All solo.

I've eaten in all of them solo- there's usually quite a few solo travelers on a cruise ship so it's not unusual and I've even seen other solo diners at the same time as I was eating. I go to formal night solo too, lol.

I've done a few dozen solo specialty dinners, mostly in the Steakhouse, and always at a table.  Never had a bad meal or service.  I usually book a meal for 8PM.

 

I wouldn't consider eating at the bar as I would sense that would lower my experience. Since I'm paying extra, why compromise?

on a cruise a few years ago since i was solo they had seat me at the bar in the steakhouse. this was on the magic

I have seen singles eat at bar and table
