Snowcat1 Posted August 2, 2023 #1 Share Posted August 2, 2023 I wear glasses. Does PG provide prescription masks or masks that are magnified for people who are near sighted?
FlightMedic555 Posted August 2, 2023 #2 Share Posted August 2, 2023 They don’t. You can easily purchase a mask on Amazon, or at a local dive shop, with prescription lenses. Not much more expensive than a standard mask. You simply put in your correction (such as +2) for the right and left eye. The correction can be different for each eye. Standard masks do magnify in the water but may not “correct” your vision.

You can't get astigmatism correction, but even with my 'high' numbers I found that as long as the myopia was right I could see very well.
Tahitianbigkahuna Posted August 3, 2023 #4 Share Posted August 3, 2023 Got to be careful .... magnifying mask will make the sharks look larger and their teeth closer 😂

Rare patrickmoran Posted August 12, 2023 #6 Share Posted August 12, 2023 I have poor vision and double vision. I find that I can see very well with a regular mask. I have used a prescription mask but did not see any better than with a regular mask.

Wendy The Wanderer Posted August 16, 2023 #8 Share Posted August 16, 2023 I got a prescription mask years ago, and it's done well by me, worth it.
Snowcat1 Posted August 16, 2023 Author #9 Share Posted August 16, 2023 Thanks for all the replies. Will probably just use a regular mask.
