Have you been down to Deck 6 mid-ship? That's where the "Bar Central" is. 3 bars there.

Two of them opens at noon, but the casino (next door) bar is open now (since 9 am, when the casino opens).

I walked through the buffet to get here. I’ve never seen a performer in the buffet. There was a crewmember with a tambourine singing some washy washy song.

Also at one point I walked through a section that was all crew members eating. For a second there I thought I accidentally walked into the crew mess. While I see that on carnival I’m not used to seeing that many of them in one area eating.

Score ten points for Norwegian for letting you get two drinks at a time... And, you'd better get used to the "washy washy" song. They have one of those guys at the buffet entrance on every ship...

Hubbard Glacier for 1 hour. Is it just a sail by?

I think that’s wrong because I saw it starting at 3:30 somewhere else. My excursion meets at 2:30. Now that’s a change it was originally 1:40 so we are running behind.

I don’t think the additional tip cultural that carnival has exists here. They don’t have receipts for write-ins which is kind of nice not having to sign..but..I haven’t personally seen any cash come out. That said we did pay double the drink gratuities that we would have on carnival. But we didn’t have to buy a drink package. I did do that $300 upgrade that got me more expensive liquors I won’t order..mostly for the Wi-Fi and and specialty dinners. Which I think turns out to be 1 specialty dinner since I lost one on the free at sea by purchasing it. I think that got me my Starbucks coffees as well but maybe someone else may be able to confirm that.

Yeah back to no photos

Go to the Internet Manager when he/she's in - they should be able to tweak your iPhone to get the App working correctly and place an icon on your screen so you can access to it easily.

That truly helped us when we did not get the App to work properly on the first day aboard the ship. I also have an iPad, and he was able to get the iPad working and I was able to switch between the two without issues.

I saw a seriously entitled person down in the Q&A. I’m sitting patiently with my card out while bartender makes other drinks. I don’t shout out orders or anything. This lady walks up and expects immediate service. Next thing I know a white shirt grabs the bartender and points to her. The bartender takes her order but points at me and says “he’s been waiting longer.” He made my drinks first and she went back over and talked to the white shirt.

I’m back to being able to upload pictures. So let’s catch up.

I think that front row is good for legroom and if you want to charge a device. But I don’t think they can see the entire stage if it’s a production show.

Your upgrade did get you the Starbucks coffees & you can order water (still & fizzy) which is not included in the normal free at sea.

You can also order bottles of wine & champagne & the more expensive liquors.

You only get 1 dining with an inside or ocean view room with the original free at sea (2 dinings is for balcony room & above) so you did get an additional 2 with the plus package.

We normally tip 1 or 2 dollars cash when ordering drinks.

Have you booked your speciality dining as these get booked up & you can’t always do walk ups?

That’s what ive struggled with because I don’t know the menus. On carnival I would have a better idea but here I don’t know. I do know I ate more meals ashore in Alaska than anywhere else so it’s going to be tough to fit in.

You probably saw the balcony and above offering. For those in interior/oceanview, it's one. For those in a balcony or above, it's two meals. My first NCL cruise, I was all sorts of confused about this! After you cruise NCL a time or two, it gets cleared up.
