Fort Lauderdale car service

We will be sailing on the Silhouette in Jan.  We need to go to Disney world after the cruise- we have decided a car service would work best.  Any recommendations?  Have also posted on the Fort Lauderdale site.  We can take an uber, but want to know of any private reasonably priced reliable car service.

Thanks

The bright line train goes from Downtown Fort Lauderdale to the Orlando airport now. That might be a fun adventure. Another option could be to just rent a car at the Fort Lauderdale airport and then return it at Orlando airport. One way car rentals usually don’t have extra fees in FL.

I second the one way car rental.  Occasionally there is even a drop off option closer to your destination other than a large airport.  We plan to do this when we return from a TA next year.

We ve used Larry’s Limo.   Driver was prompt. picked us up in a Lincoln SUV, so we were not crammed in. Communication with the company was excellent.

From Lauderdale to Orlando?

Your other thread is here:

Already on this page when you started this thread. No one is recommending a car service for this...its going to cost you a bundle. You may have "deadheading" fees to cover the cost of the car service returning home. Renting a car is a better solution.

You do realize the distance from Ft Lauderdale to Orlando is about 2-3 hour drive. A car service will cost a fortune.

I know.  But the train, first class isn’t so cheap.  Uber thus far seems the best.  But looking for better options.  Thanks

It doesn't cost anything to check out various companies.  We use Miami Unique Limo for our travels  in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and traveling between the 2 airports and cruise terminals.  We are using them for our Tampa cruise over Xmas/NYE.  We have them pick us up at the airport and take us to our hotel; then pick  us up the next day or 2 days later from the hotel and take us to the cruise terminal; then from cruise ship when we disembark to the airport.  They are prompt, worry-free and pick us up in luxury SUVs (you select the vehicle when booking.). They do drive from Ft. L to Orlando because our last driver told us he had recently taken several business persons there. We have used them for the past almost 3 years and have zero complaints.

thanks all for your responses.  I really think the best way for us will be the new train.  They have porter service which we need because of luggage we bring and we are senior citizens.  So if we travel first class on the bright line seems the most cost effective and practical choice.   Have to convience my DH of that!

Please come back post-cruise and tell us how it went.  Since Brightline service to Orlando just began a month ago reviews are scarce.  Have a great cruise!
