I have enjoyed your report and pictures so much!  I can see why you are asked for your ID so frequently - you are both so young looking (what a great problem to have😊)!  Thank you so much for sharing, hope you have a comfortable and safe journey home.

We went for breakfast at 07.25 in Luminae.
IMG_1594.thumb.jpeg.aaa52d2319b60618dee33c5465ef40fe.jpeg

Mr had some fruit and crepes.

I had berries, yogurt and my cereal.

Around 08.00 we went downstairs to collect our backpacks 🎒 and headed up to the retreat.

It was several people waiting for tours to depart and b2b process.

Janell escorted us and some other guests down to the gangway on deck 5.

We pinged off the ship for the last time….

It’s always a bit sad to say goodbye 👋🏻

We walked down to the terminal building and meet the line for immigration.

It took us 30.minutes to clear immigration.

YES, there were people in line not holding the Singapore arrival cards filled in.

They see it asap when they scanned passports. So they were sent outside to get it in order and then put back in line after finishing.

We walked further down to collect our bags, screening them thru customs and then we were ready for our day😊 So it took around 45.minutes from we pinged off until we were ready.

Since our flight leaves 21.00 tonight, we had decided to use the baggage service from the port to Change Airport.

You deliver your bags in the arrival hall of the cruise terminal and they take it to the airport.

IMG_1596.thumb.jpeg.bcfbfb5b2d4a63ba4bb5ee5abf0c0a84.jpeg

You pick up your bags at your requested time. They deliver to all 3 terminals🙂

2bags was 50$ SGD

They can also store or deliver to hotels in Singapore.

Our plan for today is Sentosa island for a beach trip🏝️🏖️

Deliverys for Edge waiting to enter the port:

IMG_1597.thumb.jpeg.3e3eaf828f14130437cd630b807693d9.jpeg

So we walked to the metro station and took us to Sentosa transit station.

IMG_1601.thumb.jpeg.3fe935f58253cdd708827a0ad3805f63.jpeg

We took the metro mover over to the island. It’s 4$ SGD pr person.

You can just tap your card at the station.

Same as for the metro.

Beach is the last station on the line.

IMG_1603.thumb.jpeg.9c06aa9df8a6a3f49afedcc55502dfef.jpeg

We walk in direction of Siloso beach.

It’s public beach and it’s free.

IMG_1604.thumb.jpeg.10144d63f4bc6bce109855aacb2c9ed7.jpeg

Changing/toilets areas are available everywhere. And it’s lifeguard duty.

IMG_1606.thumb.jpeg.5d591355fca173a66fe0d9e100867959.jpeg

As Jim has mentioned, Sentosa is the party/fun island for Singapore.

So plenty of bars, restaurants, resorts, Universal studios etc.

I would rate it as going to Niagara Falls for fun🏖️🎡🎠

A good way to kill some hours and have a swim in the ocean😎 last for this year😝

@Norwaylady Do you know if the ship will be holding a 'crossing the line' ceremony for your sailing when you cross the equator going from Phuket to Singapore?

Just covering as it may have been missed- capt said it will be done in this leg out of Singapore, when we cross.

We went to Maxwell hawker, so we could walk thru Chinatown on the way. (It’s always fun)

After the food coma kicked in, it was time to head for Changi Airport. We took the metro. This works like a clock🙃

Christmas has arrived🎄🎄🎄

Our bags were waiting at the designated pick up point.

It was just around the corner from early check-in area by Jewel shopping.

IMG_1627.thumb.jpeg.4b43b80ce9c0b7d175b8dd843c34106c.jpeg

Thai Airways uses Terminal 1, counter 4.

They don’t open check-in until 3h before departure…. (And this is very important! The majority of airlines that operate at Changi have early counter in Jewel. So you can drop your bags AND they will issue boarding passes) You can drop off many hours before👌🏻

So you can check in, you just need to proceed to this area!

We dropped off our bags and received boarding passes to Oslo for all 3 flights.

All checked and all cleared at 17.00.

So then we walked over to Singapore Airlines Kris Flyer Gold Lounge T3. My Star Alliance *G gives us access.

They have full shower facilities, food and drinks.

It’s a little bit less fancy than the Biz lounge. But still a very good lounge.

IMG_1629.thumb.jpeg.d2b6dfbdbd31dd8010d72e759ddd3ed2.jpeg

Extremely happy for a shower after our beach trip.

So now we are “ready” for our trip home🇳🇴

Our first flight leaves to Bangkok, BKK 21.00.

Next flight from BKK to Copenhagen, CPH leaves 00.50 in the night.

In CPH we arrive 06.35 and last flight home to Oslo leave 08.05.

From Singapore to Bangkok Thai airways flew a B777-300ER. It’s a wide body aircraft. 2-classes Biz/Eco configuration. They use this aircraft on routes BKK-CPH/ARN daily.

Biz seats are 1-2-1 and economy is 3-3-3.

We had award fare tickets in ECO from SIN-BKK-CPH.

We had seats 37DF for SIN-BKK.

We crossed fingers for empty middle seat😇 YES.

So happy for some extra space.

Flight time 1.55h.

We unfortunately had to wait in line for departure in SIN. So we stood almost 25.minutes after pushing from gate.

The service from SIN to BKK was a full dinner service. They have a free bar of sodas, juices, wine and drinks.

IMG_1636.thumb.jpeg.8730ffe324252e0dd52b33bd567f9735.jpeg

Salad,  choice of Chicken Ginger or Shrimp  Chilli and cake for dessert.

We had one of each main course.

Thai serve Thai style food mainly. But it’s tasty and has flavours. So catering is very good and absolutely one of their strengths of service.

IMG_1635.thumb.jpeg.42b4372a167bf3f0fb2fc248f2b155ed.jpeg

On routes to Europe/BKK they always have a European option and Thai meal for service.

We arrived a little after schedule in BKK. It was lots of traffic and we needed to wait for our gate.

I said to Mr when we taxed into our parking space… I bet we will have this aircraft to Copenhagen😜 (well guess what?)

BKK airport is run down.

Don Muang, the old was a disaster before the new airport opened….

But it was definitely to small already during the opening ceremony🫠 and it’s really showing off. The wear and tear is very visible. It’s getting worse and worse every time I go there🙄

We had around 50.minutes to kill before next flight after clearing transit security control.

Off course our flight was the aircraft we arrived on😂😂😂 So back to starting point😜

We took a detour via Thai Airways Gold Lounge. (This I know is completely worn down. It’s in desperate need of TLC) Singapore Airlines lounges on Changi is a million times better in all ways.

Picked up some water and had some ice cream for snack before we walked over to our gate.

The flight was delayed a few minutes. They needed maintenance to change some seat covers.

When we flew from Sin to BKK 3 ladies travelling together sat 3 rows in front of us. They literally emptied a full tray of dinner, beverage and dessert over them self😳🫣

They delivered special meals and after the crew had dropped off the tray and walked away they decided to change their seating and in this situation they lifted the tray upside down onto them self and the seating. So it was all wet and covered in food🫣🤯😱😳

So we need to change those seat covers before boarding.

Route departure was 00.30 but we pushed 00.40.

Flight was completely fully booked. Lots of families and small children.

We had someone seated on our row, so Mr had to sacrifice his seat, then it’s better to sit next too each other.

Saturday night flight home to Scandinavia is definitely something we try to avoid. It’s always fully booked. (Everyone is going to work on Monday)

Flight time to Copenhagen was 11h 55.minutes.

Operating on our B777-300ER we had from Sin.

We had seats 34AC but ended up on 34AB.

Tonight’s service was 3-course dinner. Main course was chicken mussangmum (Thai) or linguine shrimp (Europe). Salad and dessert was banana cake.

Same beverage selection as from Singapore.

Captain announced that we had a strong wind and that we would be delayed into Copenhagen by around 45.minutes and that we would have some turbulence on our way. So please fasten seatbelts over your blanket.

This is a pure night flight. Everyone is tired and ready for bed on departure. So dinner service is quick and simple compared to departure from Europe to Asia. Food is the same, but it’s faster speed in terms of time.

Daytime they do pre dinner cocktail/beverage and then dinner. On night departures for Europe like this, they do dinner and settle the cabin for sleeping mode. They dim lights all away and ask people to shut off the reading lights in the ceiling. So it’s dark and good for sleeping.

I do really appreciate that TG and SQ have this policy. It makes it so much easier and better for everyone to have a decent rest onboard.

We fell asleep almost before they collected the dinner trays. We had a decent sleep until they woke up the cabin 1h 50.minutes before arrival in Copenhagen. So a decent 8h + in sleep.

Then they served western breakfast. It’s definitely not a bad breakfast.

It’s a hot breakfast of cheese omelette, fried potatoes, grilled sausage and broccoli. And yoghurt, fresh fruit, croissant and jam/butter.

And juices, water, coffee or tea.

We landed in Copenhagen at 07.15. We went straight to transit security check and Schengen border crossing. Scanned our passport and went thru in 5.minutes.

When we landed in Copenhagen I received a message from SAS. Our flight onward to Oslo was delayed by 30.mins.

IMG_1637.thumb.jpeg.35ad220181ee21105a59d4a31c2868f3.jpeg

So we went to the SAS lounge. As we entered, I received a new message… flight delayed another 30.minutes. New departure 09.05. Flight was delayed from Gdańsk…. They had snow🤭

So we had some time to fresh up in the lounge and have some coffee.

Flight was operated on a A320 3+3 Plus/Go

Same type as we flew down to Rome on.

Since our flight was delayed, it was still served Scandinavia breakfast.

At 09.10 we did push from Copenhagen and 10.30 we did park at Oslo Airport.

Bags was the first on the belt and we were on the train home at 11.13.

IMG_1638.thumb.jpeg.986b6350fa222a792faa381c472cb3c3.jpeg

IMG_1639.thumb.jpeg.41198e125095b3cac6a87083f4302f1e.jpeg

So at 12.00 we walked in our door🏡

The house was still standing😊

I did unpack our suitcases and put on the laundry we had brought home.

So we were occupied for some hours🙃

At 21.30 we went to bed.

I love your yellow backpack.  I’m looking for a new packable one. What kind is that one? Do you like it?

It's a DB Hugger 25L and 30L. We have one each.

We enjoy them. They have several types, depending on your needs.

Thank you for the entire posting and glad that you both made it home safely! I’m quite envious that you were able to sleep for 8 hours in economy. Do you have special blankets, pillows or ?
Hope work wasn’t too tough today! Did you say what your next holiday will be? I’m selfishly hoping it’s another cruise so we can all tag along 🤣
