That's why I said it's a good change to put a store there instead.. Iirc, it held away less tess than 100 people. When I sailed the Prima they had already given up on it as a comedy club. Comedians were strictly in the theatre. So...you never actually were onboard to see it used as a comedy club? And while you were onboard, you looked at the space and thought "I'd really be happier if this was a store. There aren't enought opportunities onboard for me to buy stuff."? NCL seems to be trying to address the venue size issues with the Prima+ ships. Improv moving to a larger square footage room across the hall (SNPH), SNPH moving to Deck 6 and gaining square footage by taking up a chunk of the aft section of the casino. Whiskey Bar swapping spots with Belvedere. They're all positive changes in my opinion. As far as what the future use of the improv space is, I don't really care. It's super small, it isn't next to anything that they could expand into the space, so.... Sure, make it a shop. Close it off and use it for storage. Whatever makes sense.

I don’t think it is going to bother us much - just cruising is enough to make me happy lol

RMS Olympic Posted April 18 #159 Share Posted April 18 If Aqua is close to her float out….will the next build be started? I think the plan was another ship for 2026. Viva in January 2025 Aqua in May 2025 Aqua….tbd in October 2025 next build I’m guessing late fall of 2026. Send money…….🤪
Rare JIMESOPUS Posted April 18 #160 Share Posted April 18 @RMS Olympic For some reason these builds have had very little information from NCL. Based on the Prima build, Viva was started right after the Prima floated out, it took longer for the Aqua to start thus the delay. A senior member of NCL already hinted that they have the next name and start date but has not divulged any more information ( David Herrera ). Here is the original schedule. https://cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/2022/07/complete-list-all-the-new-norwegian-cruise-line-ships-through-2027/

When we booked there was only this room and 15208 available (now booked), so we definitely won't be changing. We are excited about these suites... sjacobs11 Posted April 23 #168 Share Posted April 23 From these photos, it looks like only the port side's hull is painted with the starboard side pretty bare. Seems more difficult to paint once it's in the water!
macewank Posted April 23 #169 Share Posted April 23 Yeah unless those are old pictures or they're planning to put it back into dry dock there's no way it's floating today.

david_sobe Posted April 23 #172 Share Posted April 23 She's beautiful. Most of this board always flames the new hull art of NCL ships until it grows on them. This I like right away. Very colorful. Not tacky but elegant.

Look closely at that picture where you can see the starboard hull, there are MANY man lifts still in the dock, that was from some time prior to the flooding of the dock.

Rare JIMESOPUS Posted April 24 #175 Share Posted April 24 (edited) @dexddd Ok, know I had to look and found this from NCL, " MEET THE HULL ARTIST Allison Hueman Our first-ever female hull artist, Allison Hueman, is world-renowned for her street art & global brand collaborations. As unique & innovative as Norwegian Aqua herself, Allison owns a distinctive art style drawing on the sublime. Her hull art for Norwegian Aqua, entitled "Where the Sky Meets the Sea," is curated by Goldman Global Arts and evokes modern mythology through colourful mashups of abstract and figurative representations of sea and sky, ruled by ancient goddesses. " The ship does looks better than the WWII destroyer paint scheme found on the Prima. Still looking for that unicorn Edited April 24 by JIMESOPUS
