macmax Posted November 8, 2023 #3 Share Posted November 8, 2023 When going from on ship to another of the same or different cruise line, we have just taken a taxi. The driver may not be too happy about the short distance so tip well.😉

You are correct .. it’s actually referred to as a sided by side, not a B2B.
lljost Posted November 8, 2023 #6 Share Posted November 8, 2023 In 2018 or 2019 we did a side by side. Off the Crown and over to the Regal. We asked at Guest Services and were told there is often a shuttle (golf cart) that will pick you up and transfer to the other ship. They told us to ask the port crew once we picked up our luggage and were headed out to the parking lot. We were directed where to wait and were picked up along with another couple and luggage and delivered right to baggage drop off at the other ship. Worked perfect. Ask once on board toward the end of your first cruise. We were prepared to take a cab but didn't need to.
Rare dickinson Posted November 8, 2023 #7 Share Posted November 8, 2023 February 2021 we cruised from Ft Lauderdale on Regal Princess for a b2b. On turnaround day we discovered there was a bus taking passengers from our ship (berth 22) over to Sky Princess (berth 2). It was free. We got on because it was a short walk from there to go to some stores. the driver told us to call him (gave us his card) when we were back at the Sky Princess and he would drive us back to Regal Princess. We did that but got his voice mail 😞. So we walked. It was hot and a long walk. Many parts had no sidewalks. I guess the answer to your question depends upon how many passengers are doing a side by side (SbS).
skynight Posted November 8, 2023 #8 Share Posted November 8, 2023 (edited) Assuming these are two Princess ships. If both ships are docked at the north port piers 2 & 4 these piers are directly next to each other. Easy walk. If one ship is at the north port and the other is at the mid port it is possible to walk, but not very easy with all the traffic and distance. You can take a taxi, fare will be the minimum. Tip generously. Another possibility is to grab a parking deck shuttle if running. This shuttles people between the north port and mid port parking decks. Not really considered a b2b. Each will be treated as separated cruises. Your folios will be closed out at the end of the first cruise. Any debit balance will be charged to your credit card. On b2bs, same ship, on board accounts roll over. Edited November 8, 2023 by skynight

Terminal 4 is being remodeled and will open soon ("Fall 2023") as the Disney terminal and the home port of the Disney Dream.
Mud_Shark Posted November 9, 2023 #10 Share Posted November 9, 2023 Also a pre-covid answer (so things might have changed) but got off on pier 22 after first leg and had to get on at pier 2 for next leg. Because the parking lot is at pier 2, there was a shuttle bus (medium sized bus) going back and forth for those who parked at pier 2. We jumped on with no problem.
Rare dickinson Posted November 9, 2023 #11 Share Posted November 9, 2023 Update to my post #7 above: After reading Mud_Shark's post, I remembered that we too had embarked at Pier 2 and disembarked at Pier 22. I guess that was the reason for the free shuttle bus so people could get to their cars.

I would also use Lyft or Uber since it's a short transfer and a taxi driver would be stuck going to the back of the line after dropping you off.
