As always the time went by too fast! It was super cool to get a b2b via you and Greg though. And interesting seeing both of your takes on comparing Princess to CCL.

Thanks so much! I think I'm going to sit down and record a video tonight or tomorrow kind of summarizing my feelings and going over some of the comparisons to put a bow on all this.

@TxTeach79 If you indeed have casino discounts coming, they will show up automatically when you list cruises under your log-in credentials, as seen below, but it takes them a few weeks...well, at least it did for me...almost two months to load!

 

 

 

You can also see what kind of casino perks (free play, etc.) you have banked by going into your Profile, Onboard credits.

 

 

 

Let's hope you have them coming.  You changed a lot of minds and hearts about Princess with your amazing Live report.  They should comp you a suite, wherever you want to sail!

@TxTeach79 I think my DW would love to try Princess.  Did you get a casino offer for princess based on your play at Carnival?  I have really good casino offers right now from Carnival so it is hard to try another cruise line.

@TxTeach79...agree I am now considering trying Princess! Between you and @Saint Greg I think it might be a line we would enjoy.

 

We don't visit the casinos so those offers aren't in our wheelhouse.

I think i did, yeah! It wasn't explicitly stated, but I hadn't cruised Princess in 7 years and had maybe gambled $20 total even then, so getting the deal for this sailing feels like it had to come from the umbrella...

That's odd, because it's not the $300 CBS offer I got in my cabin, and it says it was "earned" on 11/16... I wasn't even on the ship yet on 11/16.

@TxTeach79 Even though Princess is way more generous (than NCL, my only other cruise line), and even though their comped room rates are very transparent and easy to navigate online, it's been my experience that these casino credits and free plays are all over the map as to when/how they apply. 

 

I'm actually on the phone right now, on hold, for over a half hour to try to correct a free play that didn't link to a cruise I have booked for this February.  Annoyingly, I can't speak directly with an actual casino department person, only through the intermediary who handles all-things Princess.  She talks to me, puts me on hold, comes back, asks me a follow-up question, put me on hold...repeat...repeat...

 

(The casino comped experience is sort of like the medallion experience - so much promise and potential if they just work out the kinks...)

 

Anyway, there are lot of seasoned gambler/cruisers on Princess that might help you (and me too!) on your question.  Maybe start a new thread?

I received 41 emails from the Princess Players Club during 2022 and through mid-January 2023. I have not received one since that date. When I log into Princess, I am taken to a screen to register my account, and in my profile “Receive offers and News” had “no” answered for mail, phone and email. I did change those answers to “yes”.  I called Princess and got exactly nowhere, no help at all.   Yet I have this posted under OBC:

 

 

Like you, none of this makes any sense at all. It looks like $100 OBC may have been added to my December 2024 cruise. 
 

Does anyone have any ideas for who I can contact to get this straightened out?

I just got back from Thanksgiving vacation with my family, and am "trying"to "catch up."

 

CruiseQueen2, as you mentioned, you walk the floors with the rooms, and I have always done that on all the other cruises I have been on, and I plan to do that on the Regal in February. We are on deck 14, and I have never been up that high, but I know I will "try" to make the areas I am looking for, easier to find, by doing what you said.

I just watched your videos and I couldn't agree more with your comments.  You are spot on.  I loved Regal  Princess and I love Carnival.  We didn't eat much at the buffet because of Mr. Boh Jang's mobility issues. I would have enjoyed that food variety.  We loved the MDR and had the same waiters and table each night.  The food was good and the waiters were fantastic and friendly.  They gave me more of that super friendly Carnival vibe that felt a little lacking in the bars.  By night 2 they had our preferred drinks ready and waiting as soon as we sat down.

 

Your live review was awesome and this wrap up video is super cool.

 

Hope to see you again sometime on the high seas.
