I just watched your videos and I couldn't agree more with your comments.  You are spot on.  I loved Regal  Princess and I love Carnival.  We didn't eat much at the buffet because of Mr. Boh Jang's mobility issues. I would have enjoyed that food variety.  We loved the MDR and had the same waiters and table each night.  The food was good and the waiters were fantastic and friendly.  They gave me more of that super friendly Carnival vibe that felt a little lacking in the bars.  By night 2 they had our preferred drinks ready and waiting as soon as we sat down.

Your live review was awesome and this wrap up video is super cool.

Hope to see you again sometime on the high seas.

Absolutely!!! That would be a blast!! Had a great time hanging with ya! Happy cruising!

Re: casino. Aside from worse game selection compared to Carnival, the casino's location on Princess ships doesn't help since isn't really on the way to anything else. You'd only pass it if you go between the theater and guest services/DaVinci restaurant.

Besides the problem of getting to it from any aft stateroom (go to deck 7, walk across, then down), you basically have to go out of your way to go to the casino. On Carnival, it's hard to avoid walking by the casino, since the theater, most of the music venues, Alchemy Bar, and the MDR are all on deck 2.

Loved the personal touch the videos added to your review! Almost made me want to book Princess but not in the cards for the near future.

When you talked about the service on the ship it reminded me of how I saw service on MSC, it worked for me.

I snorted when you made the comment you grazed like a rabid cow😂🤣

I perked up a little from not being able to sail Venezia in May by booking Alaska for May on NCL Encore. I have a countdown!

Could you not search the word Patters?

Yep, but didn't find any.  Some people just attach them but don't name them.  Also since they aren't technically called 'Patters' anymore (that's the old school name) some people just call them daily schedules, etc.  Did you try searching 'Patters' and have any luck?

I just didn't want to spend 30 minutes going page by page if there weren't any within.  I wasn't asking for them to be re-posted, but a simple yes or no there are any included.

Haha Thanks, I appreciate it! I'm playing with the idea of moving up to high school sooner than later.... I do love my kids and I've been here for a long time and am pretty comfortable/ingrained in the community, but it's also been 15 years and I'm starting to get that itch for a change. Who knows. It's happened before, and sometimes a little Vitamin Sea (Sea what i did there?) charges the batteries right back up...

My daughter is a middle school social studies teacher in the Dallas area. She taught high school the last 2 year and moved to middle school this year. It has definitely been eye opening! I definitely could not do it!

yes! I thought that was cool! Medallion technology in general feels like the future, the hiccups along the way are inevitable for now, but it’s only gonna get better (and it’s still pretty great right now)

Whew!  Just finished. Luckily had sea days to attack it. Fantastic, funny review. Loved it.
Our disembark is tomorrow in Miami. Think there are seven ships.

looking forward to the next!

Thanks for following along - always love your insight and comments! Good look with disembark today! That’s a heck of a load, but if anywhere can handle it it’s Miami

Just heard a guy explain what’s in a Ranch Water to Berlin 🇵🇭. They’re gonna learn that quickly sailing out of Texas.

OK  --  new one to me & I lived in Corpus for a few years...

Ranch Water - on my list to make as soon I've purchased some Tequila...

Also the Cowboys play a rare Noon game (how are we getting the Fox A team for this one?) so I'd like to be either comfortably onboard or in a good steaming space by then if possible

Will they show the game on the big screen since we're leaving from Galveston? 🙂

So the cruise leaves on Sunday, but per usual I'm gonna head down to the island on Saturday. I like to start the vacay early, get those island vibes going, have some food and drinks and relax, sleep in on cruise day. My usual goal is to find a hotel that lets me leave my car there for the week so I can bundle and save a little on parking. My favorite option in Galveston is far and away the Harbor House right by the pier; it's a perfect option and I've lucked into it twice, but the prices are prohibitive more often than not.

Last time (Carnival Dream LIVE this summer) I stayed at the newer LaQuinta on the Seawall side and it worked out great. Full of cruisers, parking for the week, spent about $200ish for hotel and parking. This time, let's get weird baby!!!

Enter INN AT THE WATERPARK!

Located by Moody Gardens and Schlitterbahn, weirdly centered around an on site mini golf course, definitely old, and definitely half closed because of a major fire on site last year! PERFECT... $129 for the night, $148 after taxes and I can leave my car there all week free of charge. Win win, baby. Grab your putters and let's get weird!

We're staying here before our 12/17 cruise. First time. Hope it's nice. If not, it's probably still worth 10 days of free parking.

Whoa. Just heard someone order a Colorado Bulldog. Haven’t heard that in a minute.

OK  --  had to look again...

Similar to a White Russian...

Once again - I lived in Colorado for a few years - Crested Butte & Aurora and do not remember ever hearing of a Colorado Bulldog

I will have to try one sometime - Galliano is not something I usually stock @ home

Maybe on future cruise 🙂
And I've made it to page 51

So I preordered a few bottles of bourbon for the room to enjoy on the balcony. I have vouchers for them in my room, and it says to call room service to arrange delivery. I do, and she says just sign the vouchers and leave them out and they’ll drop them. Problem is, there’s no writing utensil anywhere in this room.

Where do you order alcohol? I haven't found it yet.

I can’t see now, but I think you go into the personalized on the website and click on “onboard services,” then there are places to click to buy wine, spirits, and food among other things
