3:00 Departure

When I first saw 3:00 as my PE departure time, I thought it was an error.  I now see that it isn’t.  It was always my impression that the on board crew, shoreside crew and provisioners had to work pretty much flat out to get a ship ready to sail by 5:00.  I realize that formerly not many people boarded in the last two hours, but it still seems like a major change. 

Any insights on this (when/why/how) would be appreciated.  I searched the forum for “3:00” and found nothing.

There must be a lot of ships in port (or tides are low).  They will get the ship turned around in time.  Hope you are flying in a day early.  All aboard will be 2pm

 

We were delayed due to weather and pallets of water still being loaded.

One time we we're on a ship that sailed at midnight. That was out of Dubai.

I have two sailings on the Ruby from Port Everglades. Both are scheduled for 3PM sail out. It is early. I'm scheduled to be in Ft. Lauderdale 3 days early.

We also sail at 3:00 out of Galveston on the Regal.  Originally, it was 4:00, but got moved up to 3:00.  That is a really quick turnaround.

We recently had 2 cruises out of LA and they sailed out at 3pm also.  Seems like more are out at 3pm for US ports now.

 

Don’t show up at 2pm, if you haven’t completed the check in, you should be there 90 mins before.  That is spelled out in your travel summary.

Our December cruise on the Sky was due to sail at 3 pm.  I think it was around 4 before we actually left.

I don't think we've ever sailed on time.

Sailed at 3:15 on our CB sailing in November.

Not a problem at all, boarding window was 11-2, everyone was aboard and off we went.
