Leave Carnival Cruise Early

Recommended Posts

Hi we are cruising Sydney to Singapore however my son now lives in Bali , which is the port before Singapore.

Will Carnival allow us to leave the cruise in Bali to visit him or will we have to sail to Singapore and fly back to Bali.

We have stayed in Singapore before and just thought this would be better and less expensive for us

You should call Carnival and find out.  You can get a lot of bad/false/inconsistent info on here.

You will have one person say yes. Another one say no. And another one who "heard" that someone's cousin's neighbor's grandma's best friend did it once back in 1985.

If you do get permission, make sure you have it in writing and present it at the ship.

And if they do let you off early, do not expect to get anything off your cruise fare because you left early.

And there's always the risk of a missed port that could mess up the entire plan, even with Carnival's blessing...

John Heald told myself no charge outside of the USA - but it's up to the immigration officials in each country as the PSVA of 1886 does not apply outside the US.

However, no refund, etc. will be given.

That sounds right. The PVSA obviously applies only in the USA, and each country (or perhaps the European Union as a whole) will have their own laws to follow. And no refund is a given.
