It sounds like the decision to not to offer French onion soup isn't going over very well. Hopefully if enough people complain Princess will bring it back. Unless the bean counters said it cost too much because so many people enjoyed and requested it.

Which would be kind of silly because it’s relatively inexpensive to make, probably one of the cheaper options. Same with the Alfredo.

Coffee Currants menu, and the view from the seating area on deck 7 of the Piazza.

One thing I’ve noticed: Where’s the Afternoon Tea? It’s not on the Patter, and two staff members I’ve asked said there wasn’t one.

Maybe afternoon tea is limited to cabins only, but I’m not sure if that is an elite benefit or for everyone.

Love the live from so far!!

If you happen to run into Junella bartending on the ship, please tell her that Carolyn says hello.

Junella is one of our favorites! She’s working at Wheelhouse outside the Reserve dining room. She was thrilled you wanted to say hello, says hello back, and wants to know when you’re sailing on the Sun!

We’re not fully on this time zone yet, and waking up too late to make it to regular breakfast. American Diner it is again! Got here around 10:45, and were seated quickly. I only got the left side of the menu yesterday, so here’s the right side.

No, but if another family of four are already on the elevator and they only pushed the button once, the system thinks that it's one passenger instead of four already on the elevator.

So, in the name of science, I pushed it four times. On the fourth push, it brought a second car. BTW, the mid elevators are super busy today.

Edit: there is a “Group Call” button, but I’m not sure what that does.

No tea?  That’s sad.  I sure hope they have Elite tea still.

The American Diner ended up being a disaster. Two omelettes took 45 minutes to arrive, and the cheese was missing… the headwaiter came over, apologized profusely, and said they were having technical problems in the kitchen. Here’s the pic (after I went looking for cheese)

I can't thank you enough for taking the time to do this!  She looks amazing.

The public washrooms are really nice. Took me a minute to figure out how to get soap. You wave on the right side of the tap. Air blowers are on the left, but since I find they tend to blow the water in the sink onto your shirt, thankfully there are still paper towels.

If you wave your hands on both sides at once does it blow bubbles ? 🙂

Contrary to other reports, there IS self-serve coffee and tea in The Eatery.

They are tiny! Looks like a temporary fix job to me. Did they rush out to a store to find these? 😀

It's about time someone responded to that request.

Thanks.

We used the hop-on-hop-off bus for a little tour around Palma.

Is there a Ho-Ho stop near where the ship docks, or do you have to take a bus into the city?

You have to take the shuttle ride for €10. There’s a Ho-Ho stop right where the shuttle drops you off, but the main stop is a 5 min walk into town. See my earlier post with the map.
