It’s good morning here. Koror, Palau did not disappoint yesterday. Beautiful rocky island all over, turquoise waters, colorful fish. Even saw the remains of a Japanese cannon and pillboxes in the cliffs.

We have two sea days before we reach Manila. The crew had five cases of Covid which was isolated and crew that does not interact with guest. So for a few days the crew is masked but it’s not mandatory for guest. We wore our mask while tendering and in Showroom.

Another great dinner last night followed by a new production from ships singer and dancers. Clocks back another hour tonight. Hard to keep up with all these changes.

It’s 6:30 AM and Saturday here. Coffee calls. Have a great weekend and thanks for the post. Bruce

A couple of hours ago we went into town to mail a letter and to stop at the dollar store.  While we got about 0.3 inches of rain, it looked like town had gotten a lot more.  Most parking lots and RV parks were flooded.  Then another wave of rain came through just after we got home.  We got some rain, but not much more.  However, there was a lot of wind, and something we don't get often here -- thunder.

We walked to Harbor Place, picked up a few things and had dinner at La Bamba. Maybe a drink too.

 

Jake, I'm glad you and DH arrived safely even with the delayed flight, and that the pick-up at the airport went smoothly.

Bruce, thanks for the pictures.  That water looks so clear and inviting. 

 

Now, it's time to get dinner started.  Since it's cool today, I thought it would be a good day to make lasagna.  What we don't eat tonight, I'll cut into portions and freeze it in two portion containers.  That will give us something to eat on the way back to Texas.  I try not to cook on travel days.

The Ides of March has always been  good to me. That day in 1958 my DDDH proposed. We married 5 months later and that marriage lasted for 57 years until he passed.

Today  I received a call from Banner University Cardio-Vascular Institute making an appointment for me to be seen on April 10 for my Mitral Valve problem.

As of today I am feeling better that I have for many months but I am all to aware that the Heart Failure can come back at any time.  I am looking forward to my 3/23/24 Mexico cruise on the Kdam even if I stay aboard the entire 7 days.

Prayers for those who need them and hoorays for those who don't.

Had to share:  I decided to go play the last bingo. I won the 2nd one and then split the cover all with 4 others. Because I had won 2 the host picked me to draw for the winner of the free cruise. I didn’t look as I picked the paper from the box, passed it behind my head to the host - so I essentially didn’t look at it at all. She reads the name and it was the same as my middle and last name and I thought -Wow someone has my middle and last names!  Then she read my first name!!!!  I picked my own name and won a free cruise!  What a whirlwind 24 hrs it has been. In my mind it was Martina saying I am ok Mom so enjoy yourself❤️. I miss you Martina!

My prayer list keeps growing. We have a friend with Covid, a neighbor whose husband passed away yesterday after a long illness, friends who wanted to add insulation to their attic found broken, rotted, beams and a lot of water damage. Allen's body scan was canceled again, and got an email yesterday that our doctor left the practice. A new doctor wants to see him before he continues any more Dupixent shots for his eczema, so he's left with new breakouts again. And last added but not serious, our girlfriend driving home got caught in the rainstorms and she got a flat tire on the freeway.

 

Continuing on, prayers for our lovely friends here on the Daily, their families and friends.

We will have a quiet weekend. Just a few minor chores, and a patio table to assemble. 

 

Well! There's 2 bucks behind our fence that just tipped our bird feeders, chomping away, after Oliver and I just filled them. There's baby bunnies eating strawberries in our yard. It looks like 3 strawberries are enough to fill their tummies as they leave the 4th strawberry behind.

Oh my Joy!  That IS a lot of bad news!  Sorry to hear of your friend with Covid and the friends with the property damage. Condolences to your neighbor on the loss of her husband. And let's hope the medical practice issues turn around before long.  Hope you have better news soon.

They aren't big on vegetables to begin with.  Sue had some coleslaw, but I had most of it.
