msmoger Posted April 22 #1 Share Posted April 22 We are booked on a Diamond Japan cruise which sails 4/5/2025. We have also booked a non Princess escorted land tour in Japan which starts 3/22/2025. When booking EZAir flights is there a limitation on how early the date can be for the US to Japan flight (e.g. 3/19/2025)? Thanks,
skynight Posted April 22 #2 Share Posted April 22 When you are within the 330 day booking limit go into EZ Air. Find the flights and dates you want. Based on my experience you can book early like you wish.
Arizona Wildcat Posted April 22 #3 Share Posted April 22 The early booking date for EZAir of 330 days is the same for airlines booked direct. Many airlines open flights once a week. Pricing historically is a bit cheaper a couple weeks after opening except for holiday weeks as there are lots of placeholder bookings with refundable fares. EZAir can be great. Just fully understand the rules for your ticket like voluntary change fees, seats, and what happens if your flights are canceled

Thanks, Last year we booked EZ-Air tickets to Australia departing the US on 3/18 and embarking on our cruise on 4/2 without any problems.

msmoger Posted April 22 Author #6 Share Posted April 22 Just to be clearer, I'm not asking about the number of days airlines allow you to book a flight prior to flying. I'm fully aware of the 330 days rule. I'm asking if the first flight has to be within a specific number of days of when your cruise sails when booking through EZAir. In our case we will need to fly to Japan about 18 days before our cruise. I'm guessing this won't be a problem, but I'll be able to definitively verify this in a few days. We even added an extra day at the end instead of having to rush to the airport. Everything worked out perfectly. Sounds like you are planning a wonderful vacation.

NavyVeteran Posted April 22 #10 Share Posted April 22 You have one potential issue to consider. If the cruise is cancelled for any reason, then the EZAir flights are also cancelled. If you still want to go to do the land tour, you would have to book new flights.

First of all, I haven't committed to booking EZAir flights. As always, it will depend on pricing and scheduling. However, we have in the past found EZAir international pricing to be very competitive so I will certainly be investigating once the flights become available. Second, although anything can happen your scenario is so unlikely in my view that it will not be part of my decision making process. However, I must admit I hadn't thought of this potential eventuality. Finally, I would most likely still take the land tour. It is very immersive and we are very much looking forward to it, perhaps even more than the cruise this time around. We might even add additional touring before or after the currently booked tour in place of the cruise.
paradiselivin1 Posted April 22 #12 Share Posted April 22 Several years ago when we cruised out of Barcelona on a TA; we were able to book a flight a full month prior to the cruise to spend more time in Portugal and Spain. We not only flew in early but were allowed to fly into Lisbon for a cruise departing from Barcelona. Hope that hasn't changed. It was a great perk for us at the time. Happy travels!

There will be a variable number of days you can select prior to voyage start and same thing after voyage end. I have found through some experience that the number of days is not a set thing and can vary depending on destinations and perhaps even time of year. You can get a sense of how much time you have by shopping a similar voyage on Princess.com that is already open for flight booking. Use the Flights tab while shopping and you can check into EZair offerings. Chances are, if the pre-cruise time span is 14 days (example), it will be the same when your date opens.
