Maybe. Depends on size, etc. Will you be using aboard? That's usually a no. If solely for port - maybe.  Look into the smaller ones that clip on a chair and can fit right into your luggage..

That would be a tough on to carry a large one on a cruise ship. 

I've never seen one at Princess Cays but a small one that attaches to a chair handle might be OK but the lounge chairs at their beach don't have arms.

This was 10yrs ago on the Island Princess. Turned our non covered balcony into a covered one. Only used them when we out there. Doubt you could use them on the balcony today. Gave them to our room steward. They collapesed down nicely and we checked them in when boarding.

Turned the balcony table upside down and used Duct tape and bungee cords to secure. It would've taken the whole table with it if a gust that strong came along.Zoom in on the picture and you can see how it was attached We only opened then when we were out there. Never an issue. Again, I doubt you'd be able to do what I did but I can't see why you couldn't bring your own collapsible umbrella onboard.
